As compared to having a full proper one. Your take?

I think what ruinedoh is trying to point out is that the definition of perfect in terms of ruined orgasms would be when you ejaculate the full amount, but despite that having no pleasure from it - or even typically the opposite.

But yeah, the point is obviously to avoid good orgasmic feelings or satisfaction

I seem to have read this thread wrong. I took it quite litterally when the OP wrote production of cum. As far as I know, cum is produced in the testicles, and the orgasm in itself does not produce any, but lifestyle and actions up to the point of orgasm (such as edging) stimulate and affect the production of cum.

So yeah, my answer would be, they produce the same amount, but may release different amounts.

I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about the amount of ejaculate, and not internal production rates. Only speculation of course since I'm no mind reader, but just is more likely.

And if you want to be very technical, cum is actually not produced in the testicles, contrary to most people tend to believe.

The testicles produces the sperm only, which is just a very tiny part of the total semen. Most of the actual fluid comes from the seminal vesicle and prostate.

Which is also why castrated men still ejaculate.

I think what the OP is on about is less cum being ejaculated when orgasms are ruined, and in my experience this is true. If you look at the mechanics of it, when you orgasm you spasm and your prostate empties, now those spasms force the cum out of your cock. The bigger the spasms the more cum is going to get pushed out of your cock. In a ruined orgasm the stimulation is ended just at the point in time where the orgasm has started but the stimulation is not there to elicit more spasms so cum released just sits there in your prostate or in the urethra. Waiting to either slip out at a later point or when you urinate.

I believe you'll produce a little less with a ruined orgasm.

Yep I think this makes sense. If you wait a minute or two after ruining an orgasm you can usually "milk" out some more that is sitting in your urethra as well.

You could always have multiple ruined orgasms for that I suppose, even if it is extremely frustrating. There are several teases here on Milovana that have you do exactly that, and it really does seem to empty you out.

It seems to me that a truly ruined orgasm (in which the cum just oozes, no spurting or spasm of the cock and no pleasure) mostly releases prostatic fluid.
I've noticed that if I ejaculate without contraction, the sperm is much more transparent and liquid than with contractions.

In fact, in a ruined orgasm where the cum oozes but is followed by contractions, the cum that oozes is mostly transparent and very liquid, but each contraction emits a much thicker white sperm (and is pleasurable).

In addition, after a truly ruined orgasm, my balls feel as heavy and hang as low as before, which is not the case with an orgasm. That makes me think that they don't get emptied with a truly ruined orgasm.

By the way, if you want to try it, my last truly ruined orgasm happened with Stroker's Challenge, during the second day, in the 8 edges part. Surprisingly, it was after an edge that I got to with fast normal stroking, not slow and light stroking.

I find that tease much harder to do compared to normal edges teases because the stroking rhythm often slows after a fast pace, which makes us squirm without being able to get to the edge. It's much more straining than normal edges.

The only two other teases that made me squirm like that are Edge Island (the edge after you have to get soft) and Edge of Desire (especially the palming that seemed to go forever).
