She was startled when the door was opened, and she jumped to her feet as Richard came into the office closing the door behind him.

He looked at her, standing on the other side of the office hands clasped in front of her, head bowed looking at the ground

Jane slowly walked to where he was sitting without once raising her eyes from the floor.
