"What do we get for ten dollars?"
"Everyt'ing you want."
"Everything??"

Where do you see 10 dollars?^^

For that you would need a comma and not a dot.

How do YOU read it then, with a dot/decimal present? While I've seen a coma seperating dollars from cents in some nationalities, does a DOT seperate the thousands from the hundreds place where you're from? or is a dot non-existent in numeric representations?

In the presence of a decimal, I would presume the end of the dollar place.

I read it as ten thousand dollars. There are 2 places after the decimal point in ever form of currency I know.

Just saying

Either could be
$10.00
Or
$10,000.

send me £10
                 Yes ten pounds
and I will give you my decision.

FWIW I see it as ten dollars too. Ten thousand should be written $10'000.
But who cares really, cleverbot missed a trick by not giving an account to send it to.

dot or a comma is dependent on the nation. For example in my country we use dot to separate decimal, and all software like MS Excel or Word is adapted to understand BOTH comma nad a dot because both are approved standart, as far as I know.
As for 3 zeroes - it's not uncommon for markets to account for tenth and even hundredth parts of a cent, because it can make a hudge difference if you buy something in large quantities.

he last time i checked 100 cents are one dollar and not 1000. It doesn´t matter if there is a comma or a dot, because that makes clear what was meant.
