I was just wondering if people could suggest films (of the general release nature) that explore or allude to any of the various kinks that we enjoy here - like BDSM etc?
Secretary is the first one that springs to my mind. And a damn fine move it is too.

Secretary definitely is one awesome movie... also, one of my all-time favourites (being a Madonna fan and all that) is Body of Evidence. Yeah, it lacks a lot of depth it could have had, it's been torn to shreds by critics, but keep in mind that was 20 years ago with kink being a lot less socially acceptable than it is nowadays.

In each of these, kinky play between the characters is a significant theme. Unfortunately, most of these films could not be considered "sex-positive" like Secretary. But they do contain some hot consensual scenes--you just have to mentally separate the deaths/killing in other parts of the films.
I would also recommend the TV show Satisfaction (2007) (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1129029/). Not all, but many, of the episodes feature various fetishes in a fairly positive way.

This film is about the Maquis de Sade, from whom the word Sadism is derived. It is bloody mental, and to be quite honest not very good. BUT it is quite good fun to watch, I suggest you do so whilst drunk.

I also liked the sequel 1984(?) Story of O: return to Roissy.
I actually didn't really know what all this is about, until I saw these two movies.

The movie isn't all about kink, but has one of my favorite scenes of all time for a non-kink movie

Yup, Barbarella the first "kinky" movie I have ever seen. The scene where she smoked "the essence du mal" was memorable. Good find !
