After reading through one tease it mentions using ginger root in ice cubes. Has anyone tried using ground ginger used for spice in this sort of way? Of course the ice cubes can go all sorts of places :innocent:

Cant you just go buy ginger in a store? It should be one of the cheapest vegetables, at least it is where I live. If you don't like what you plan, the rest of the ginger can always go to cooking.

I think he understands that. What he wants to know is if ground ginger has the same effect on sensitive areas as the freshly cut root. the ground ginger would spread to more areas as the ice cube melted than the cut ginger. Its an interesting idea I may test when I get back home.

I could just buy a ginger root but I figured pre-ground up ginger would be easier to mix into an ice tray. I think I'll try and it out and tell everyone how it goes.

Ginger oils vaporize quick on air after cut. This oil give "power".
Cut a slice and leave it for few hours and it will lose all power.

Hard to say how it will retain oils in ice cubes

ice cube inserted into my bum :\'-(

the ground ginger must still retain 'some' oils because there is definitely a slight burning sensation. it isn't overwhelming but it isn't easy to ignore.

edit: btw 1/2 a teaspoon in the cube
