Kinda why we invented Google. ;-)
Anyway, a quick search came up with these:

Cirillas
7236 Wornall Rd
Kansas City, MO 64114
816-363-9393

Store Hours
Mon - Thu : 10am - 10:30pm
Fri - Sat : 10am - Midnight
Sun : Noon - 10pm
----------------------------------

Ray's Over 21
3710 Independence Ave
Kansas City, MO 64124
(816) 231-5511

Hours of Business:
Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am - midnight
----------------------------------

I'm sure there are others, those were just the ones that popped up immediately.

And I have to ask......
At the risk of displaying my complete lack of knowledge re. US geography.....
Wouldn't you expect to find Kansas City in.......well......Kansas?!?
If not, they should seriously consider changing the name of the bloody place. :-D

Kansas and Missouri share a border partially created by the Missouri River and Kansas City rests on it's banks in both states.

I live nearby
and I still ask the same question
but apparently it is the same city there is a Kansas City Kansas
AND and a kansas city MO
the divinging line is litterally a street so it is possible to look acoos the street and your nieghbot is in anouther state.

there are only a few cities like this but Kansas city is not the only one in the US

the part that makes it strange is they are BOTH called Kansas city

not Kansas city east... they both have the same name

Texarkana, TX/AR
Niagara, NY/Ontario Canada are some of the other examples of cities cut by dividing lines.

Ah....

Must be fun figuring out the jurisdictions for the local law-enforcement agencies. :-D

I believe some houses of ill repute straddled a State lines
So the girls and their clients were able to move from State to State if a Police raid occurred.

But I suspect simultaneous raids circumvented this ploy.

Not really a problem here since this sort of thing comes up all the time, the local law enforcement agencies work pretty closely together. If you run to the Missouri side, the Kansas state troopers will not break off. They'll just radio Missouri patrol to join them or vise versa going the other way.

Just becomes a question of where exactly you'll be going to court really.

Yeah, I kinda figured there'd be an every-day work-around for it.
Just seemed funny at the time. I mean, technically they should call in the FBI with annoying regularity. :-D

But it'll get really interesting if one of the states decides not to observe Daylight Savings......
Welcome to commuter hell.

It doesn't cause problems within the state itself. But consider a city such as KC if only MO observed DST.
You'd wake up in MO, head to work on the other side of town, and suddenly you're at work before you got up. :-D
And don't get me started on e.g. public transportation schedules when they cross state-lines......

Anyway, it's merely something that made me giggle for a minute or two.
As with just about everything else I post, it shouldn't be taken too seriously.
Besides, we seem to have strayed somewhat from the OP........Mea Culpa.

Surely it is no different than crossing time Zones.

Time Zones: Indiana has some counties in the Eastern time zone, and a few counties in the Central time zone. Prior to 2006, Daylight Savings Time was left as a decision for the individual counties. As a result, there were as many as three different actual times in the state. There was a great deal of confusion for visitors. It's my experience that most locals (wherever they are) pretty much know what time it where they live, and where they need to regularly spend time, like having a job in one time zone and a bed in another.

More information about this can be found here.

You're right, it isn't. And pray tell, how often do you find yourself changing time-zones twice (or more) a day?
The only people who do so on a regular basis are airline-pilots, and they all use UTC no matter where they go.

The point is that I'm all for personal freedom and all that.
If people want to place Kansas City in Missouri instead of Kansas, that's fine by me.
Odd, but fine......
But when people can't agree on what time it is, things have really gotten out of hand. :-D
