I think that would be up to the author of the original tease. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking someone elses work and changing it to flash, and I can't say I would be happy if someone did it to mine either.

Definitely a "no no" in my book.
I wouldn't dream of touching someone else's work and I'd hope they'd respect mine the same way.

What about converting it to flash in the program Tease Me for "offline" private use? I just started using it the other day, things like this are definitely possible to achieve with that program.

At the very least not without giving very clear credit to the original author. But yes, permission should obviously be asked up front if at all possible. I'm a bit unsure what to think of this in the case of authors who are no longer around at all tho

I sense a rant coming, not here though! The material is owned by Milovana, not the author! The only thing an author can do is complain. I think it really does come down to respect as stated earlier.

That is technically incorrect. Even though Milovana is both the owner of the tease editor as well as the hosting site, the creative content is still the intellectual property of the author. That has nothing to do with TOS/EULAs or anything like that since it is a mechanism governed by laws in most countries - which always without exception take precedence over rules or agreements. In short, no agreement can legally ask anyone to give up a right which is protected by law.

Without bothering to check, I'm fairly sure seraph hasn't done the mistake of trying to define the creative content in web teases as the property of the site rather than that of the author. And if that is indeed the case, that part is the terms is simply voided by law.

Edit: Ok, so I bothered to check anyway:

The submissions from users (forum posts and web teases clearly fall within that scope) are clearly stated as being ownership (and responsibility) of the submitting user: "For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions."

You best be reading up on your Milovana terms of service there fella! Milovana can use anything on this site to for whatever purpose they choose on this site and you can't do a thing about it.

Milo could hand me over any teases on the site and ask me to tinker with them and nobody could do anything about it but delete their teases. That is why they don't mess with the authors like that but they can!

What do you think this means:
you hereby grant Milovana a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the Milovana Website and Milovana's (and its successor's) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Milovana Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the Milovana Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Submissions as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service. The foregoing license granted by you terminates once you remove or delete a User Submission from the Milovana Website.

Pretty clear, Milo can do whatever they want with any tease. Delete it and you may cancel that license. So all you have to do is delete your teases to make the work yours again! Oh wait a minute, you don't even have any teases published and you have been trolling around as a member for three years already. Make some teases man!

It all comes down to respect like was stated earlier!
