Now I am a christian myself
but obviously I do not agree with his position.

That is why I support Obama
thank goodness for a guy who tried drugs

and does not mess with my porn

If that is one of his priorities he doesn't deserve to be running for president. There are far too many other problems that are far more important than porn.

First of all he wants to win the election, I guess. So if he really ban porn industry afterwards is really questionable.

Most Europeans, like myself, support Obama and he has best chances to stay president. His rivals are just a bunch of freaks :)

Seems to me like he wants to ban porn. Unless I'm misunderstanding the political speak, which is entirely possible.

And we all know how successful THAT was.

Personally, I wouldn't be too worried about anyone banning porn. It's such a back-burner problem that I don't see it happening anytime soon.

While it's true that he could never actually successfully ban porn, he certainly could persecute people working in the industry, drive it further underground, and shut down responsible, well established producers and performers (kink.com for example). In the same way that the war on drugs hasn't actually stopped people taking drugs, but it has ruined lots of people's lives - especially vulnerable people. The same would likely be true for a "war on porn." The people that will suffer most are female sex-workers, many of whom will either be prosecuted or forced into less-safe work conditions.

So while I wouldn't worry about Santorum's position from the point of view of losing access to porn to jerk off to, I would worry about it from the point of view of giving a shit about the quality of life of the good people who work in the industry.

i'm sorry to say that, but i hate America for having such an influence on the rest of the world...

Expanded the Federal deficit by trillions of dollars even though he said he would cut it in half by the end of his first (and only) term.

Ram an overhaul of the Healthcare system down the throats of the citizen's even though the majority of the citizen's were and are against it.

Refuses to do anything to promote lower energy prices and energy independence such as approve the Keystone Pipeline or allow oil and natural gas exploration on public lands

Constantly trying to divide the country with class warfare, painting the banks, oil companies and rich as enemies while trying to tell the rest of us the only way we can be better off is if we put our dependance on the government instead of relying on our own self-reliance

At that is only the beginning of the list

I hardly think the problem with today's America is a move towards more available healthcare and rich citizens and corporations being expected to pay a reasonable share of tax, but excellent recitation of reactionary media talking points! "Class warfare"... lol

Fortunately, I think the prospect of Santorum winning a general election is almost as delusional as the sense of morality that guides his social policy platform, so there may be a bright side were he to win the nomination.

Wrong on so many accounts I hardly know where to start....

First of all, you generalize a tiny bit if you think all Europeans are socialists.

Secondly, you are massively wrong if you think that is necessarily a bad thing. Taking care of the weaker ones in society makes sense to me, rather than leaving everyone to themselves, with all the troubles associated with that.

Third, and this is mostly my own musings and certainly nothing I can document in any way, I believe that most Europeans don't give a damn about US domestic politics. The main reason (and a very good one!) for a lot of Europeans being in favor of democrat government in the US is foreign affairs and how the US relates to the rest of the world. From a non-US perspective, even one that warmly supports most of the armed interventions of the last few decades, we are always far better served by the more level-headed, open minded approach demonstrated by democrats, rather than the "yeeehaw! lets shoot first and ask later" attitude demonstrated by so many republican leaders over the years.

People laughed that obama would not get a health care bill passed
people still protest against "obama care"
which actually is no where near as strong as the original idea
which would have helped thousands.
the current bill is weaker than medicare.


So maybe if republicans win there will be a cut back in porn.
