I've just heard of your conversation with dark. Apparently you felt you were treated unfair in last month's TOTM competition.

After much thought I think there is only one fair solution. We voted and the two teases tied. I extended the voting period and the teases still tied. From there we felt that we had to find some way to resolve the situation. As you pointed out a run-off vote was just one of several possible solutions we could've chosen.

It's not fair to change the rules in the middle of the game and I'm sorry for that.

The only option I see left is to award two TOTMs this time. I'm really, really sorry for this screw-up. We should have thought of a tie breaker beforehand not in the middle of voting.

Next time, if there is a tie, we will immediately do a second vote consisting only of the tied teases, so this will be a one-time exception.

I will modify the TOTM box to display one of the two winning teases at random.

I also want to add that I'm not doing this because of submatt, but because I simply agree that you can't change the rules in the middle of the competition and I believe no author should have to suffer for our screw-ups. There is no question that Asian Experience is an extraordinary tease: It is the number one highest rated tease on the whole site. And considering that our member voted a tie twice I think this accurately reflects how the community feels: Both teases deserve an award. Yes, it's an exception, but I think it is more than warranted.

EDIT: The TOTM box now shows one of the two teases at random. You might get one of them several times in a row, but I swear the chance is exactly 50%. Enough injustice for one month.

i had my medal and it was taken off me lol, nah i don't mind sharing with such a good tease, and it keeps everyone happy. congrats submatt
