Dear Milovanians,

As you probably noticed - the server has been struggling with some load recently. I identified a performance problem with the webtease listings that was related to the recent addition of a rating filter. This should now be fixed.

There may be other issues as well though, so we'll definitely continue to keep an eye on things. Thanks for bearing with us as we sort this out.

During maintenance I also noticed that the site wasn't sending out emails correctly. (PM notifications, registration emails, etc.) This was due to an expired server certificate. This is fixed as well and we spent out the emails from the last couple of days which were still waiting in the queue.

Please don't hesitate to PM me or start a thread in the Tech Support forum if you notice any issues.

Though that "too many connections" thing is a very frequent occurrence it seems now O.o

I think it is the site teasing us all *giggles*

Continuing to have issues. For a time it seemed to be the backup that was running slowly, but that's fixed now and we're still having problems. My best guess is that the increasing size of the database has marginally slowed down certain bits of the site and the increasing traffic did the rest.

Normally we occasionally switch to a new server, but I delayed that this time because of some budgetary constraints.

Will keep you posted. Right now peak traffic for today is coming up in a few hours, so I have to stop messing with the site. (If there is the slightest hiccup during peak traffic at the moment, the server gets overwhelmed faster than you can say, "OH SH-".)

I've started installing a new server and will hopefully be able to move the site today. Expect potential downtime throughout the day. I'll try to keep it to a minimum.
