Due to the increased amount of spam, we have now added a new server-side filtering feature.

It's set as follows:

- Hidden below 1.5
- Collapsed below 2.0

You can change which teases are completely removed from the results via the Advanced Search options. Registered users can change their default filter level in the new Webtease browser settings:

The small print:

• The exact settings will likely keep changing in the future and there is also a proposal for a front page redesign in the Team forum. We may change to a model like Digg or Reddit, where teases have to be discovered first before making it to the front page.
• We are currently adding 1 to the vote count when calculating the filter. So teases with very few ratings will tend to get filtered, even if they are above the filtering threshold. Furthermore, currently no teases with less than 10 votes will get filtered at all. As I mentioned we'll tweak and debug all of this in the future.
• The webtease browser settings currently aren't linked anywhere. We're going to test this feature for a while and eventually add a link to these settings from the Webteases section.

As I said earlier

If we feel that bad teases should be seperated my suggestion is
Move them to anouther website!
eliminate them from here!

there have been a rare few teases lower than 2.0 that were fun to look at

Again I suggest the policy be base on:
If a tease includes and E-mail address
if one author posts more than 2 low rated teases without seeking help to up ratings.
any low rated teases posted after June 2011
most of the earlier stuff was not evil

Looking at that last windmill wondering if I finally dented the thing.

The recently implemented feature is more than enough. This isn't burger king, you can't "have it your way". Eat your damn pickles.

Actually, mine are very real teases, but I do put my e-mail in them at the end. Fortunately, they're more than highly-enough ranked not to be hidden.

This is a very nice implementation and more or less fixes my issues with the spam of non-teases.
