buying high heels

Hey there,
because I have been fantasizing wearing my own high heels for a long time now, I am looking to buy a sexy pair. But being a guy, it is difficult to find the correct size, especially considering the shoe width.
So has anyone some advice where they have sexy heels in large sizes and how to determine which size I will need? I am looking for some 5" heeled pumps.
thanks for any advice!

thanks for the links, some of them are familiar, others are new.
So what about size conversion?
My ideal size is 9 1/2 (US men), does this mean I need a 11 1/2 (US women)? or do I need to take a 12 or even 13 because of the high heel? Is there somewhere a size chart explaining how to measure my feet (length and width) in order to determine my size, because I am really worrying about the width.

You are correct, you need either an 11 1/2 or 12 in a high heel.
Here's a couple of conversion charts but they don't address width. They both say the same thing - you would probably need a 12 in a high heel.

I wear a 10 1/2 mens but I can get away with a womens size 11 most of the time. I do like my shoes a bit tight though, probably tighter than most women but not to where its TOO painfull....lol.
Also, the fit depends alot on the type of shoe, round front, pointed front, peep toe etc....
The best thing I could tell you is not to spend alot of money untill your confident your getting the right size....
Have fun!!!!!!

some thrift stores sell ladies high heals
you could at least try to find your size there..
Usually find them a lot less embarrassing because of mix of people.
and most people there will not pay attention to you walking around in heals testing out shoes.
Unlike the ladies stores.

Good Luck.
5" heels are almost impossible to walk in.
Takes a really strong core muscles to hold ones self straight.
The foot just is not long enough to casually wear 5" heels.
Look for a shoe with 4" heel and 1" platform.
Even that will take serious effort to wear
In a word
Pilates

Yeah, I sure do know it's difficult to walk in them, but I don't really plan to make hiking trips with them :P
anyhow, I am in love with the 5" with concealed heel, especially if it has a peep-to, but they simply don't make them in my size as far as I could find.

Hm Yosemite, maybe she lives near me.
Damm, it says straight.
I can wear a higher heel than either of you.
Not just put on, but walk blocks.

Free from work today so I took the opportunity to go out and buy some things I needed, among other things, a pair of bootees.
Also purchased a pink bra and a pair of pink panties and stay-ups and tights.
Asked shop assistant if the right size for the boots and she did not respond when I tried them and she saw that I had nylon stockings and that they were to myself.
Same thing when I bought the bra and panties in a shop for lingerie (Lindex, a big company with big stores)
Asked for help from shop assistant when I could not find the right size of the panties. I got help and the woman asked if she would seal the panties if "she" wanted to change them when I got home. I told that was not needed when the bra and the panties were to myself. I paid my stay-up stockings, bra and panties as if it were the most natural thing in the world that I use it myself.
Lovely shopping trip with a lot of tingling in the body!
Trying to post pictures of what I bought today.
(Excuse my English but live in Sweden so you have to have some understanding)
