So, something I've been pondering as a suggestion for a while, what does everybody think of perhaps adding a subforum for *specifically* webtease feedback, up by the "Confessions" sub-forum?

The benefit would be that someone looking for feedback on a specific tease may not find it with the current format. There's no real uniformity in the way feedback topics are created, some have a "FB" in front of them, some actually say "Feedback", and some just have the topic of the tease in it. Do you think a specific sub-forum would separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak?

Cheers,

Hi Indy

No i dont think you sould spit up feedback persay, I think you should split up Clasic Teases, Flash Teases and Maybe Video Teases?

That would make things a lot easier to find.

What would people post in The Art of Webteasing forum if not feedback? I've always viewed this forum as the webtease feedback forum, and the All and Everything to be a general T&D discussion forum.

If I were going to suggest anything, it would be to promote the "Games" and "Confessions" sub-forums to actual forums. As they are they're kinda hidden, and maybe they would generate more interest and topics if they had equal billing with the others. I'd also throw out the idea of creating a "Looking for a Dom/sub" forum, instead of a thread. It would give people the chance to promote themselves a little more distinctly, as opposed to being yet another voice in the sub collective.

Just my thoughts. It's your barbeque, and I know I'll be in line with my plate no matter what.

I don't much mind either way, both work for me.

Something else to consider though, and making this question somewhat obsolete: sub forums for each tease TYPE.

Especially video teases could use one, but might as well go for flash, audio and regular as well

I think the links in the tease and the forum should match or cross link,
so you can access either from the other.

The forum feedback thread links to the tease and the forum link in the tease links to the thread not just the webtease forum as a whole.

At the moment it is messy as many threads are started simultaneously.

Indigo,

While I'm not opposed to the idea, I personally don't see it having much of a benefit:
There's no real uniformity in the way feedback topics are created, some have a "FB" in front of them, some actually say "Feedback", and some just have the topic of the tease in it.
I think there is some uniformity, in that every feedback topic, at least as far as I've seen, has the name of the tease in the title. There's a search box at the top of the forum...do people not use it? If not, perhaps a sticky topic explaining how to find tease feedback topics?

This is an excellent idea, but would require automatically posted threads on this forum when publishing a tease. Far from impossible, but a bit of work (talking from personal experience)

The link would have to point to the thread, not just the forum (in my opinion)

Exactly
When the tease is published it creates the thread start

Bad idea. There are tons of junk teases for which automatically creating a thread would be waste of space.

While definitely true, would it really ever be a problem? Sure, you'd get a new thread whenever a new tease is published, but frankly so what? If it's a crap tease, or for whatever other reason you find feedback uninteresting, the thread will simply fall through to the bottom of the pond in no time anyway...

And the newly created junk teases will take their places...in a neverending cycle. :look:

too many forums/subforums just make the navigation harder. The forum structure is imho ALREADY too complex, with all this subforums and stuff.

Correct Nez, it is a fine balance to strike, and it's not easy. Hence this poll...
