It may or may not be true, but the story would have made a great webtease anyway...

Kinkydomina's got a point, but there's something about a story presented as fact that's upsetting. When we're told something is a story, we tend not to question the more unlikely events quite as much. But if something is presented as fact, I, at least, feel the need to judge for myself whether I'm being deceived. And if I am being deceived (intentionally or not) I tend to feel I've been cheated.

Or put a different way, if I'm reading a story, I'm looking for good storytelling. Whether the events are believable or not doesn't matter quite as much. But if I'm reading someone's actual experiences, I don't need good storytelling, the thought that 'this actually happened' is usually enough to keep me engaged.

I don't think it's true, or for some reason he's confused on when it happened.

He first says it happened "a few weeks ago." Then at the end he says "Three days later" he got a text telling him to come over "tonight," and he'll let us know what happens.

How could he not know what happened 3 days after a few weeks ago?
