it's normal. That depends on your anal ring, it's size and strength. That's personal.

To get it stay in you may only actually have 2 solutions.
1) get a bigger plug. Normally if you can insert it without a problem it will fall out. If you have to work on it a bit (so it can't go in in one go), it will probably stay. I'm talking about lubed plug, ofc.
2) Tie it inside, use a tight underwear to hold it, etc.

Also - depending on why you are wearing a buttplug - i had one recommended to me that is not a traditional one, it's not designed to stretch your anal opening - but when wearing it is a fantastic reminder that there's something foreign inserted in me. I can wear this all day, basically, with no discomfort at all, and whenever i stand up, move much, etc., it's noticeable enough to make me smile.

Good advice. You could also do kegels for a bit so you can use the smaller plug, if that's the problem. It's also good to look for a nicely graduated plug, rather than one that's around the same width the whole way. You may also want to be sure the plug isn't too long - short and fat tends to be the way to go for plugs, for most people.

I assume you got one of the generic 3-piece sets. If you're trying to use the smallest one in that set, I wouldn't be surprised if it slips out easily, it's shaped terribly. The middle-sized one has the gradation I was talking about.

I've heard good things about that plug by Mr. S as well, but haven't tried it. Tantus all the way.
