Counter-spam idea

I was wondering....

Is it possible to not allow anyone to develop/publish a tease unless they've been a member for X days, or done X forum posts?

I think that might help cut down the number of tease-spam personals, many of which are simply a photo with some horribly-worded lines about "what I'm looking for."

Just a thought as we come to grips with some of the pollution that's showing up in the tease sections.

ignorance is the best weapon, & perhaps teases could be submitted for approval. if they wish to post on a forum, well so be it, but maybe have a 'wltm section' -- though i suspect the traffic would be very much one way. perhaps then they will realise that dominants can pick and choose, and subs offering lifetime servitude, devotion are 10 a penny (unless they wish to take the money slave route) The better D/s relationships are built up over a period of time and are symbiotic by nature.

Not a good idea.
Some people use this site for a long time, and then sign up and want to create a webtease. It should be easy to do. Other authors post a lot of webteases but never use the forums.
Anti-spam measures shouldn't complicate things for authors.
I still believe, that stuff should be ignored, and if ignoring it doesn't work, removed.
Everything else is a waste of energy better used for other things.

I am going to agree with Dtspam here
emphasizing the ... remove option..

It is the goal of those who created this website to allow as
much room for artistic expression as possible
consider...
the guy who did a statue of the Virgin Mary made out of shit...
http://www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/comm/c ... donna.html
as art... next to Donatello's david
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_(Donatello)
and you have the range of teases

I fear that ignoring it won't work. There's every reason to expect it to get worse. It only takes one or two surfers to be taken in for the spammers to get encouraged. I'm against pre- moderation, but I think there could be a quick poll in the forums; delete/ don't delete this particular spam tease, so regular users could decide their fate.
That way the entire community takes responsibility for keeping the tease list readable.

I have talked at legth to seraph

this is the 5th or 6th post of this kind
I still in my heart agree that the 'advertising' teases as I call them should go.

However,
I see the administrations point, which I tried to illistrate...
just because you don't like it... or a LOT of people don't like it
does not make room for people to destroy it..
if we are going on majority rules..
Frankly we would not have a site
The Muslims and Christians and Some Jews and other Conservative groups
think all pornography is wrong..
(obviously I disagree)
But I know I am very much out voted.
and Poof our site would be gone!

let put it this way if you are tied up with a lady whipping you and a police man walked by your window and saw you..

What would happen?

So majority rule DOES NOT apply

I will continue to use this tease as analogy:
http://www.milovana.com/webteases/showtease.php?id=8500

STILL makes me laugh every look at it?
But is it a tease? well
It has a picture.. and text therefore... it IS a tease!
perhaps the original poster really finds this picture sexual? !!

So before we start picking up stones and tossing them at teases
we must consider the implications of censorship.
Administration... does not wish to censor
unless it violates international or federal laws

No worries - I can ignore things with the rest of us, just thought I'd offer a thought or two on the matter. :)

It is a great turn-off looking at spam, but well it forces me to read less teases :)

FIVE out of the latest 20 teases are spam now. 25%. that's up from 4 from the 40 before that. at what point do we realize this is becoming a real problem?

How about a "report this tease as spam" button right along side the "rate this tease" buttons.

make a script that would automatically delete the tease after a certain number of spam reports.

at a minimum the report button should report the tease as spam to the moderators and they should delete it.

How about just choosing a moderator someone who'll delete or hide 1-page spam teases? Is it that hard to do?
