Not really sure where you got that idea. Is it because she's annoyed by all the men's libidos? I was mainly exploring the idea with her that she has these powers, but unlike all the other women I write about, she
doesn't have that sex goddess femdom mentality. So, being constantly confronted by men's sex drives is aggravating to her, rather than arousing. Ironically, attempting to reject her powers is the main reason she can't control them enough to tune things out, so if nothing else, I think the rest of the story may focus on her actually trying to work on her abilities. Alongside the Kate B-plot of course.
I think the 'villain' should have someone in her family well connected, Like a senator or something... so that lack of teacher help makes more sense.. I honestly didn't like that part of the story, but then again my wife is a teacher... and I am a helper.
You know what, that makes a lot of sense. I was struggling with why none of the teachers would actually be helping, but if her father or mother or someone is a higher up, that would certainly explain it. Heck, even if she simply comes from a rich family of influence in the town. So I'll probably use that, thanks a lot.
I haven't quite settled on when in the timeline this takes place, but its at a point in the timeline where things have settled down from the initial shock, but the bureaucracy is still in motion.

Nope. Unfair, I know, but that's the conceit of the setting.
the archeologist parents could return with some item that augments the sexual powers... or is cursed.. but I like object magic...(magic items) and I am not sure how well that fits in this world idea.
That's not how things work in this world. Other than Sex Mage powers, its a completely mundane world. I'd rather this story be about the characters' personal development, and not the search for the magic mcguffin, Otherwise, I'd just set this in Civero.
