I've got the same worry with this that I had with every other suggested forum split. You have to think about it practically.

Not everyone who currently reads the All and Everything forum regularly is going to read both forums regularly if it was split. Why? Because not every time is there going to be something new in both. Also it just takes more time to check more forums.

The way I learned this is because we did it a few times. Whenever we gave some subject its own forum, the subject died out. Threads about it were moved from the All and Everything forum to the new one, where they would get fewer views. Eventually we'd decide to merge the forums again to give the topic more exposure and participation.

There are a few legitimate reasons for creating separate forums. Archiving is one. That's why we have a Stories and a Hardware forum. With those topics it's nice to have a place to go to to quickly see everything that's been posted on the subject.

Another reason is sheer volume. If half the posts in the All and Everything forum are about one subject, it makes sense to have a separate forum for it.

In the case of games: Archiving them may be nice, but I think with games (as opposed to stories for example) participation is much more important than archival.

That's just my view, what do you guys think?

I believe that a subforum would be a good Idea. Just like the "Confessions" SubForum.

This way we could separate the games and still have everything in the same order as it was before.

What do you think ?

On a personal note:
I do believe that forum games are the most sexy, exciting and kinky thing thats possible on a public basis on the internet. Everyone can do anything at his own pace, but still have a kind of "group pressure" to push himself just a little :)
