Should cactusman keep writing webteases?

I've been getting very little positive feedback lately, and have also noticed some very negative early ratings that happen as soon as I publish a new webtease. Especially my
Maria Pavlova series seems to have generated a lot of negative reaction. I don't want to spend a lot of effort if there is no one here that likes my work. So I wonder if I should continue here. Besides votes, your thoughts and opinions are also welcome.

Your going to let some idiots
stop you from writing teases?
How long exactly have you been doing so?
(your first tease still here is from 2006)
And your going to stop?
Those must have been some negetive posts!
Please don't get discouraged!
I am slowly working on my... 80th published tease
and your already there!
don't let a few bad posts stop you now!
I think instead
you should write a really, really Nasty tease
one that is truely evil
Specifically made for those who wrote the negetive posts
and then double, triple dare them to do it!
(that's what I would do anyway)
looking for your next great work....

Cactus man
keep your cacti teases coming
I feel as a long tease progresses those that like it will keep reading and voting.
As then consistent voting of 4 + show
worry not my friend just drink in the voters and the bird to the whyngy whynners

There should be an option "up to you". Are you doing the teases for glory? I doubt it, even allowing for your admitted past indiscretion. I'm sure you get pleasure from doing them so carry on until you don't would be my advice

Does everyone buy an album that is on top of the billboard? No, cause some just don't like that kind of music.
That doesn't mean that the artist should quit, cause a lot of people do like it.
I voted I don't care cause your teases aren't the kind I like, although I must say that they are of high quality.
I'm sure a lot of people here enjoy your teases a lot, so I think you should go on. Don't let people who have other interests discourage you of writing more, think of the people who do enjoy reading your work.

You remind me of R.L. Stine, in that you seem to just churn out tease after tease. They're fairly well written, but they're missing something. The thanksgiving themed one started out particularly good. Maybe it's just not my style, but I think in the long story based teases there end up being too many characters involved and it's like I'm reading someone else's fantasy. I am, I suppose, but I feel like perhaps those characters mean a lot more to you then they end up meaning to me.
I really disliked you in the beginning when you were republishing old posts from old forums. It seemed like a talentless easy tease production method. You may have 80 teases under your belt but the first 20 or so were cut and paste jobs. Then you re-imaged some classic teases. I have mixed feelings about those. I like that some of the classic teases were brought out of retirement, but I felt some were better left dead and I liked most of the original models a lot more than your choices. If you're gonna resurrect something word for word, I think you should go picture for picture too, maybe even make a separate account for it.
And then there was your confession of rating your own teases high repeatedly. That at least set my mind at ease a little. I had been confounded that some of your earlier attempts had been rated so high. Now you've come to feed your ego some more and get reassurance from the Milovana support group.
All this said, you are still around and seem to be getting better and at least some people like your stuff. So I've come to accept your presence and I'll give your teases a starting chance. The recent installations of the thanksgiving one did start out good, and you occasionally find some very hot pictures. The long stories aren't too bad to click through until about page 50 or so.
So, in summary, you started off republishing forums posts and penthouse letters. You then moved on to republishing classic web teases. Then you admitted to gaming the ratings system, and now come whining to the forums for attention. Your current efforts are long stories that involve many characters and a bit too much tell instead of show. Not a great series of impressions. Once in a while you do create something pretty good though. But there are people who post worse and you are getting better so keep trying I guess.
P.s. If nothing else, at least your grammar is decent and not like this
http://www.milovana.com/webteases/showt ... p?id=10899 We need you around to keep the literacy quotient high.

There is negative votes for everything. The Batman movie with Jack Nicolas as the Joker got the lowest rating from the Critics and how well did that do. There are 100's if not 1000's of examples how the critics messed up.
But at the same time its good to get negative feedback, sometimes it hurts, often worse than cbt

...But as authors and artists we need that negative feedback. To grow as writers.
Imagine this idk how many of you like football but. If you was a QB as a kid, then in high school even went to a big university. Always praised and never heard a bad word. Then you may even win a couple of National Championships and get the national attention. People love you and hate you for how good you are. You get to the draft only to be told to change your throwing motion if you want a chance at being drafted. In a way your heart broken. I won 2 national titles and went to 3 title games. I won the Heisman trophy. Only to be criticized about MY throwing motion. You get drafted higher than most "experts" expected. Still considered a project. Expected to sit 2 or maybe ever 3 years. But you strive on to start the last few games of the season. Didn't come out as great but much better than most of your critics ever expected.
This is happening right now to Tim Tebow. I'm not a huge fan of his but I respect him and am proud of all he's accomplished as a player.
So in saying that personally your teases aren't my "cup of tea". I love the story being a writer but I agree I didn't like the way you cut and pasted old teases and penthouse stories. Maybe became the editor to a couple but it wasn't your work.
I've thought about bringing a couple of my teases out of retirement and re doing them but they are my work not someone else s. I've not really read your recent work because of this. I liked the one where you incorporated the "bead game" in it but lost me after the second one.
I don't know if you contribute your stories to other sites but that's what they are. The stories for this site has the woman speaking directly to you. Not you imagining your the guy in the story with little to no interaction. That's why I like most of the teases interaction.

You put so much time and effort into all of your works here that I thnk it would be a shame to lose you as an author. Your teases are always well written, proof read, and have great photos to accompany them. If someone dislikes a tease, then oh well, different strokes for different folks. I haven't done any of the Maria Pavlova stuff, but the teases I have done that you wrote were all very fun and enjoyable as its more than just "stroke yourself, now stop, now hit yourself in the balls" like some of the teases around the site. Judging by the posts above me, I'm not the only one who loves your work here.

Hey there, Cactusman..
By all means, you should continue writing for as long as you want...
I appreciate that some might not consider some of your work a "webtease", but whatever a person calls them, it's VERY enjoyable...
Anyway, I always enjoy you work, and hope to see much, much more....

Maybe should ask some questions. Who are you writing for? Yourself, as an artistic outlet? Others, to share your ideas? Both?
If you are writing for yourself and you're not deriving any satisfaction from it, maybe it's time to take a break. You can either lurk on the site or stay away completely for a while. You can always return.
If you're writing for others, maybe you should reevaluate your audience. You're not going to please everyone. If you try to satisfy everyone, you'll satisfy no one. Every artist has his or her detractors.
If you ask yourself those questions, you'll probably find your answer.

I didn't vote because none of the choice fit me. I've enjoyed the Maria pavlova series well enough but I haven't read many of them. Mostly because they are too long. But I loved your series with my ex-girlfriend and Kara the cock teaser. In my opinion Maria pavlova has done enough, but some other people love those teases. SO just go with you gut.

Hi cactusman,
I voted "stop the maria parlov serie"
Because, it's to long for me. But I guess there a lots of people who follow the whole serie, so it's your call.
If I were you I would start a fresh serie, with a different women and slighly different story.
But is still has a nice rating, right? 3.9!!!
So do whatever you want, there are some guys who love it and some guys who hate it.
