Getting to know Kimberly

I just published my last tease of the year... actually my 50th!

I'm curious to hear what you all thought of it, what you thought of "Kimberly's" 5 favorite pictures, and/or about how long it took you. A tease like this one is tough to tell just how long and challenging it will be for someone who doesn't already know the answers!

Enjoy!

well i think there is a glitch... i think you said the pics would be random so the order may not be important, but in round 3... when i got to the second pic i didnt pick it and so the continue came up, but when i clicked continue it went no where, no matter how many times i clicked continue. if its based on the picture it was the semi-black and white one with the girl on top of the guy and seemed like maybe her head was pulling back becasue her head was kinda blurred. hope that helps... if i'm the only one that had that problem then just disregard my post! :) looks great so far tho! keep it up

Thanks! It's fixed now.

It is an amazing idea. Thanks for that. Really really great. The only thing, it is too challanging for me. All the strokes and edges are not possible for me. But again, I liked the concept a lot. It is great. Thank you for your work. Good start in 2011 for you!!!

Great tease and Idea, tho I lurked thru 1st round and stopped not to spoil the fun later.
Nice to see you'v started using more advanced coding in your works.
As for the thing that you know the answers - if you happen to ever make the same idea (or you'd like this thing modified - by yourself, not me), you may PM me, and I'll help you to do so that each time RANDOM picture considered to be favorite, and only then you are picking them. It's easy and won't spoil the mood, especially when you (she) can find bad sides to derank in every picture, and at the same time there's at least a few that are suited to be favorite. ;-)
And just to make it clear, I meen that random picture is marked favorite ONCE, and it will stay like that for the duration of the tease. ;-)
So I could make it random. Just ask.

Great tease, great idea :-D

One minor suggestion for improvement from me (if technically possible):

When you click continue to go to the next picture, that should preferably take you directly to the next picture page. The "Very well..." page in the middle gets a little annoying after a while, and seems completely unnecessary from the users perspective. Not sure if there are any Nyx-related reasons you need that extra page for each picture though.

If there IS some coding reason for this "Very well" pages, you may do them with 0 (zero) seconds delay - that way they will still be processed, but won't be displayed.
Or you may use goto(page#) function on them - it will process the page and instantly redirect you to the desired page, without any action on user's side.

I really loved this tease. It took me about 50 minutes, but it felt like three hours. I do agree with those who found the "Very well" to be annoying, but that's minor. I like Nezhul's idea about randomizing the favorite. As it is, I'll wait at least a month before I do it again. I will have forgotten by then. Another way around it is to have alternative sets for each round that are chosen randomly for the user. I know that takes a lot more programming, but it would make the tease useable more often.

Alternative sets thing is possible, but it's too much copy-paste and the code grows tremendously by lots of the same pages with different pictures. :-|

The idea is very good. I think you have to impruve the random order not to repeat pictures until all of them had been showed.

On the contrary, the way it is is better. If you can see al pictures from the beginning, you can easyly grade them from hottest to worst, especially knowing her preferences after a few failed try's. But when they are random, you never know, will there be hotter picture than THIS ONE. ;-)

Nice, nice tease. It IS very difficult after a long day at least. I could not seem to remember previous answers. Must have edged over 50-75 times in the hour or so attempting to finish. I did finish, however, on accident. Pressure was such after that buildup my chin is wet...will try again later days! THANKS!!!

I thought it was a great tease. Nice buildup, and nice way to get around using pics of multiple girls in a storyline. I also really love that model. My only "complaint" is that my favorite pics were way off of her favorites, but I guess that was part of the point. I do have to say I was a bit surprised at her favorite pic in the last set. After the first four, I wasn't sure that one fit, but that's probably just me... And I picked right at the very end, but, alas, I am currently in denial (first time ever by someone else; sooo much more intense than self imposed). Very nice work overall.
