Flash tease timer control

I like the flash teases, but depending on my mood, sometimes I want to get through it a bit quicker. My suggestion is that there is a option (or slider) on the top of each page near the rating that allows for a Turbo Tease. This would automatically reduce all timers in the tease by, say, a half, or a third. A slider option would give more user control.

Tease authors may not like their carefully timed tease being changed by the users, but I guarantee this would make me watch more of their teases.

When we say "the pain is really bad" for example, we do NOT meen, that there's not much pain. We meen the pain is VERY BAD.
Same here.

I also hate the idea of the preson being teased having any control over the timers.

First I don't think it is possible to do, change the timers without the original author having to work hard editting pages so that a choice can me made for less time. (negetive: Lot's of work for writter)

Also: One of the objects of flashtease, thier beauty if you will, is that lack of control. You feel it, Perhaps you don't like submitting, truely? Maybe the author really does want you to wait 10 full minutes with your face on the floor groveling to give you that realistic expierence.

And last, the only person who can assess a tease without getting the author's password, besides the author is the administrator of the site, who has much better things to do than to change what the autor did!

However, there might be a flash tease out there with a broken timer (or two) I had a flash tease that had an endless loop, that did not get fixed for 3 months because no one bothered to send me a PM saying:
"I think your tease might be broken" OR
"I think your tease has a bug in in it."

And One final thought that I often say:
If you have an idea, WRITE it yourself!

it's possible if a feature is build in nyx itself. But it's still a bad idea.

It could be an idea for a tease author to write that feature in themselves, but only if they wanted.

For example write a flashtease with timers and things, but also add a 'skip' button for those that just want to read through it.

But any flashtease author could include a 'skip' or 'turbo' button right now if they wanted. It would be really easy to add an extra button. It says a lot about the fact that nobody has really implemented this feature. Probably, most authors dont want people to be able to cheat.

Your direct approach to criticism is truly refreshing. :-D

I totally see where you're coming from. The main danger I see with a cheat feature like a "skip delay" button is the constant temptation it presents even to people who'd otherwise do the tease "for real".

Also, tease authors may want to make getting to certain points in the tease a challenge. Kind of like there is no way to "skip" the leveling up in World of Warcraft.

So again, I do see your point, but currently I come down on the side that if we added explicit cheating functionality it would devalue the experience of reaching the end of a long and complex tease.

Thanks for the suggestion! :-)

Its not an idea, Im just pointing out that any flashtease author COULD put a 'turbo' button into their tease if they wanted. The option is already there.
