Seraph0x and I have talked about this for years. We always wanted to do a great Milovana Kit. So now that I have Kinkbox up and am shipping amazing gear all over the world, we are finally doing this.

Here's the Kit we put together. This was put together with three things in mind:

a. We wanted it to have the gear and goods that people needed to do the Teases, particularly things that were hard to find. Seraph0x put together a list of the highest tags for teases, so we looked at what the teases call for.

b. We wanted this to be more affordable for Milovanians. In the past we worked with other companies to put together a kit, and it turned out to be really expensive because they wanted a high profit margin. But what's the point of having wholesale accounts if you can't use them for good?

c. But we wanted the kit to make a little money... and to have the profit support Milovana- and help pay for things like servers and hosting and lawyers.

So I've put together a Kit. It's incredibly affordable, and Milovana gets all the profit.

Great work! It's nice to see some small revenue streams appearing for Seraphox/Milovana. It's been a work of love for Seraphox to be sure, but it's not hosted for nothing, and his time investment has been tremendous. Thanks!

I will tell you that the revenue from advertising doesn't come close to covering the costs of the site. There was hope for more revenue with the advertising that was on every page (including the tease pages), but there was such an uproar over the test campaign, that after a month it was dropped. The site gets an astonishing amount of hits- but those hits are mostly on pages the users want pristine. Authors argued their work was being defaced when ads went up on the background of every page.

The Sub Challenge also doesn't pay for itself either and it does nothing towards the cost of Milovana. When it was free, there were more than 1,600 subscribers. Less than 1% of those people stayed to pay for it. I easily got more than 50 people telling me what they really wanted was a Chastity Challenge... so after a lot of hard work from both me and Seraph0x, we designed and built one... and made it so that you got both challenges for the same cost... and then only 2 more people signed up for it. And we still have less than 1% of the folks who wanted it when it was free.

This site takes a lot of work. It was complicated to build. It gets nearly a BILLION hits a year, and that's alot in terms of the cost of hosting and service.

Milovana has more expenses than it has revenue. The Milovana Kit is a way to help that. But the more important feature that I want folks to know... This kit wasn't designed to make money for Milovana. Seraph0x and I wanted it to be affordable, to give the gear and toys at a reasonable rate. so that more people could do more of the teases.

As for the issue of $$$'s, how come this site doesnt have prominent 'donate to milovana' button. Ive been vising this site for years and Ive never seen one (maybe there is a doante button, but Ive never seen it so it must be well hidden). Im sure there are plenty of people who would make a little donation to see more on Milovana, especially if it means it will speed up the site getting new features and stuff.

Talked to S about this... his reply:

hmm, yeah next time avoid the "buy because it supports milovana" and instead go with "buy because it's an awesome fucking deal"

I know this detail got sort of lost... so I'll make it more prominent.

We're a company. Real men companies don't take f***ing donations.

I wanna put together a good product people want, sell it and make money that way. And if it takes me ten years and twenty attempts, so be it. I can work for a living in the meantime. So if you want a kit - fine - if you don't - fine.

When Ali sent me the price and contents I bought one of the premium kits on the spot (got a sweet deal - 36$ CEO rebate ). Unlike the kit we almost launched last year, this one really has the kind of stuff teases actually use. And I've been planning to get a Hitachi for years. So for me this kit had all the stuff I wanted anyway - plus some stuff I would've otherwise never even considered getting (...stockings anyone ).

Bottom line: Buy one if you want one. Milovana will survive either way.

Seems like a reasonable deal. I think lingerie would make it even better though!

Think of it this way...

* "Unique" or "visit" - means each individual visitor

* "page views" or "impressions" - once a "unique" gets to your site they will look at 1 or 2 or 3 or more pages (or in the case of Milovana, where there are scads of multi-page teases, MANY apages). In the rest of the world, on average "uniques" will look at at about 2.5 pages. In geek speak, each page a visitor looks at is called a "page view" or "impression".

* "hits" - the real Black Sheep in the family. Often used incorrectly to mean visitors, but it does not. In geek speak it refers to the "number of files downloaded". Think of the sheer number of photos and pages on Milovana (each photo is a file and hence a hit) and lots of buttons (each button is a file and hence a hit).

A great many people spend a LOT of time on Milovana, reading tease after tease, and seeing photo after photo. It's totally fabulous, and it adds up to a lot of traffic and a LOT of hits.

Hmmm...so users have to actually sign up and buy for milovana to get something? Just clickiing the ads isnt enough...that blows.

Have you thought about non-adult oriented ads? Maybe some amazon etc affiliate links?
It would have to be done in a way to preserve anonymity from amazon (ie amazon should not be able to tell the user came from milovana).

If I may ask (you can PM me), what is the cost of hosting the site, and how much is the advertising revenue?

I'm interested in the business and tech aspect of things

My comments though, would be to include only the more rare/exotic items and skip the ones 99% of all households have lying around anyway...

If you guys would have something as simple as a "Click here to buy from Stockroom.com and support Milovana!" button or link, I'd definitely go through the referral page there before doing any purchasing. I think many other would do the same and similar things for other websites which could support Milovana through a referral system.

People are already buying products without a referral, so this might be a simple way to bring in some money without taking it directly out of the website visitors' pockets....

Not everyone uses the sort of shoelace that works as a zipper with clothespins... and really, not everyone ha extra shoelaces that aren't *in* their shoes... and after you are done with this, you may not want to put it back.

It's interesting... I've gotten about a dozen suggestions for the Milovana Kit, including the fact that it should start at $10 (or $25), that it should include my (used) panties or pantyhose, or that that kit has to include a free year of the Challenge or the kit should some how be free... at least for some folks. And I've gotten shit from someone else on the forum because there are gasp *two* messages about this on these forums... but not a single order beyond Seraph0x.

I'm taking the hint. I'm going to place my orders for the wholesale goods on Wednesday and early next week, I'll send out the kit for S. At this point I'm just ordering the gear for one kit. Then it will go away. So if you want the kit, email me [email protected] by tomorrow afternoon, so I can stock for it on Wednesday.

And yes, I'm going to post this in both places... for the human who had an issue with this... Bite me.
