But how do I find out my or anybody else's user number?
Or is that an admin privilege?

I shall ponder my thoughts on personal preferences.

The easiest is to hover your cursor over your username (or theirs) in a post and look at the url in your status bar and look for the number at the end of the url.

For example: 1252 is your user number.
