Very well put Indy! I don't think the real meaning of Christmas is lost, it just gets hidden under the piles of presents sometimes.
But I think you've done a nice job of reminding us what it's supposed to be all about. I'd just like to add that this is my first Christmas since joining this site and I'm very greatful for all the people that I've gotten to know and for all of the fun I've had here!
Now if we could just have everyone make a New Year's resolution to turn off their webcam in chat we'd be all set...

I couldn't agree more. This has been a big year of exploration and discovery for me, and my joining the community here at Milovana has certainly been a great blessing. Thanks to everyone that helps make this such a warm, fun place.
May you all be richly blessed this Holiday season and in the coming year!
A Hearty Cheers

,
Jim

Joy of the season to you all. Have a happy Winterval, Mid Winter Solstice feast, Christmas, or whatever you want to call it. Enjoy the food drink, presents and most of all your friends and family. And Santa must have the biggest blue balls of all seeing that he only empties his sack once a year. I wonder if Arianna controls him?
Anyhow, have fun whatever and/or whoever you do.
And as a special Christmas present to all of you I have managed to spell everything right in this. Not sure about the grammar though.

Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;
Additionally,
a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes.
(Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)
That ought to cover it

That almost sounds like George Carlin.
Almost.
