Evening all. Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it around the world. Is it only the Americans or do other countries have an equivalent to it? One question from me though - why do you Americans have this holiday? What is it all about?

Me? i'm looking forward to Christmas and then New Years. i am just a big kid and still get excited by Christmas Day. Sorry, just the way i am. And then the promise of the New Year to come after that.

I, too, would like to wish all the Americans a very happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. And to the rest of you out there, I wish you a very wonderful normal Thursday :)

I have so much to be thankful for it is difficult to know where to begin (don't worry, I'll keep this short). I think most relevantly I am thankful for coming across this community, and how welcoming you all have been, most especially Indigo. I have never participated in a community like this and was never really into chatting, but everyone here has been very pleasant and fun to talk to. So many people put forth such effort to make this place what it is, and it really shows.

I am also extremely thankful for the friends and family with which I have been blessed. I wouldn't be where I am today without their tremendous love and support.

And let me not forget how thankful I am that both the latest Star Trek movie and the latest Batman movie were both so very good. Looking forward to many more of those :)

Anyway, I wish fond blessings on everyone out there in the interwebs tomorrow!

I'm not from the US, but I happen to have some thanks to give all the same. For one I wanna thank the community of this site from the lowly lurker ( ;-) ) to the glamorous superstar author and hardworking Team member. You fill this site with life. Thank you.

I also wanna thank the world as a whole and this seems as good an opportunity as I'm gonna get. Few people see all their life's dreams fulfilled and even fewer have friends left to share the fortune with them when it happens. Several lifetimes and a poet's tongue couldn't express what I feel towards humanity and all those brave men and women who have fought and died so we can think what we want, say what we think and pursue our dreams. Whoever you are, where you live, I implore you to do whatever you can to uphold these ideals even if we sometimes don't fully understand or appreciate them.

Happy Thanksgiving! :-)
