Outbox error

Hi,
I'm new and have sent two messages - both however show in my Outbox and not in my Sent Items.
I've not had replies from either (one was to an Administrator) so am wondering if something is amiss.
Appreciate any thoughts.

They just stay in your outbox until the recipient reads them. Nothing is wrong - the two people in question probably just haven't had a chance to get to them.
