They've got a quite good list of proxies. Most of em labeled with "Uptime 100%" work very well.

I don't think the current chat would work through a proxy, since it's using a direct socket connection. But it would be good to try anyways, this chat server has so many features, who knows, might have a feature for this, too.

No, web proxies won't work.
