Since tease authors often don't take the time to properly tag their teases, it'd be nice if the community could vote on appropriate tags for each tease.

I can't count how many times I've run into a pure SM or CBT "tease" labeled only as "female top, for guys".

It'd also be really good if we could somehow get new tags made. I'd probably create and vote for "Bitchy" and "List of Items Required" tags a lot, as well.

Maybe this isn't realistic, but I thought I'd throw it out here.

The voting system seems a bit longwinded. It would take ages for new tags to be approved, the forum would probably descend into pointless arguments about which tags fit, which dont etc etc...

I wish there was a way to add new tags to others teases, maybe just an [edit tags] link on all teases and people would have to be trusted not to abuse the system.

Although Im not sure how many people would edit the tags on older teases. At the moment I find it hard enough finding old teases again (even if ive just read them) so that I can add them to my favourites. (please get a link to the authors and a favourite button inside the actual tease this would save a lot of time!)
I dont know how many people would read an old tease then go back to webtease index and search through the whole list again just so they can add some new tags.

It actually used to be like that when we first added the tag system. That gave us awesome tags like "stupid_tease_the_author_is_a_cunt".

Voting on tags was also once planned but turned out to be too complicated. I am planning a feature where users can link up teases to Urge articles, which will then replace the tagging system. But we're still a few months away from that.

ha! well I guess people cant be trusted then...

Maybe have it so you put in suggested tags but those aren't applied to the tease until five other people also suggest those same tags. It'd cut out that sort of nonsense. Not being a web-thingamajig i don't know how easy it would be to implement though.
