i'm watching teases with Cavegirl lookin Chics score as high as Princess Kristina! i'm watchin someone who just joined, i mean a brand new member come in to the group and post a tease... i always find it interesting to look at the posts of the "BrandNew" members...... and i have to wonder if it's simply not a regular who is acting under another name.... whatever... there's some weird stuff goin on and it's probably just me but if i can't change i gotta bid you all fairwell.... there's a couple other sites trying to come up in tease and denial... I dunno if it's just you, but personally I do the teases I'm interested in and don't do the teases I'm not interested in. And I don't pay attention to ratings.

Honestly who cares if Kristina's tease has a 3.4? You enjoyed it, right? And expressed to her you did? That's honestly all that really matters... as a tease author I find comments like the one you made toward Kristina's tease to be what I'm really going for, not ratings.

Really though, if you don't like something just ignore it. I don't like "drink a bunch of water and fap" teases, but I don't care if someone makes one. I have a foot fetish, but I'm not constantly complaining about the lack of foot teases on this site. When I see one I do it and if I like it I rate it well.

I will agree with you the quality of teases has dropped and the rating system seems inconsistent. But... so what? As long as you get the occasional great tease that really makes you happy, what does it matter that you don't like the other ones?

If you think other sites are better, though, I'm not going to stop you from going to them. That's your choice. And hell, forward them to me--I could always use some variety.

Lastly, I don't think anything's wrong with you. I just think you need to stop taking this stuff so seriously. It's a free site where people make teases for free, and there's no restrictions on what kind of tease can be made, how well-written it should be, or anything like that. With more and more users, you're going to see more and more stuff that doesn't gel with you. Maybe you've outgrown the community or it's outgrown you. That's up to you to decide. But just the other day you said you'd done the best tease you've ever done--shouldn't that be enough to tell you this is a pretty good place?

This is actually a fairly deep and complex issue. What is Milovana? In my opinion it is not a T&D site, but a site that aims to help people with sexual exploration. What makes Milovana special is that we do by sharing webteases with each other. It's essentially a way of sharing erotic fantasies, finding out something turns you on that you wouldn't have come up with yourself.

Obviously though, we're all different. What is sexy to one person leaves somebody else wondering "wtf?".

So how now - as site admin - can I make everybody happy? I do not agree with tex that the quality of teases has dropped. I think that sentiment is a mixture of nostalgia bias and the fact that the kinds of teases posted have diversified. But how can we make sure people get the teases they want?

I have some ideas I'm working on, but your suggestions are more than welcome as well.

I actually came up with a pretty good and easy solution to this earlier. Allow people to set a default filter on teases. And store it in a cookie whether they're a registered member or not.

To take an easy example, say you only want to view teases for-men. So you select "for-men" from the tag list and click a button to save the filter as default.

Something like this:



Notice "save" next to "reset." You could also maybe make this settable at registration.

Also, I might've been hasty saying the quality of teases has decreased. It was a pretty dumb thing for me to say since I've barely even done any of the recent teases.

I do have a suggestion and as always i do appreciate your input....
I suggest the site stop trying to be everything to everyone. I have in FACT outlined the origins of T&D.... If it's something else than it doesn't really belong on a T&D site.... There is nothing wrong with gay, or chicken suits or vanilla or dating in church on Sunday... or a million other avenues of fetish/fantasy/reality.... but there are sites geared toward all tastes. I personally think this site SHOULD take a direction and stick with it... it seems what You end up with is lack luster interest in several genres as opposed to a concentrated enthusiastic interest in T&D For what IT IS. I mean seriously... I hate to keep harping on this, But Kristina has been in this T&D for several years, She is BY FAR one of the most Amazing Naturally Dominant and T&D, Humiliation, cuckold.... You name it.... Absolutely Creative and Amazing.... and the current people of this site feel that a 3.4 is justifiable for her Tease effort?! The audio alone commands a Dollar value! A Large one and she gave it to us for FREE!? A 3.4!???? i'm watchin a couple other teases FAR inferior in Tease Value score HIGHER?! I'm tellin' Ya... i feel like i'm in the twilight zone and I don't want to be part of anything that would insult Her like that. Forgive my rant but i do think this site needs to draw a line and stop trying to be everything to everyone with any sexual taste whatsoever. Where it originated drew all it's core members.... Most of the content is what it is..... that's all i got.

I find this funny because this EXACT same discussion is going on in another forum I am in. I think the general consensus is that a number or star rating for this type of "work" is just silly. Different strokes for different folks.

Shrooms idea is better suited for these things.

I think someone can tell from the first few pages if they will like a tease or not, it is not like they are paying or wasting more than a few minutes to check something out.

As for you blaming the site for offering various tastes, that won't help the issue and it would be very hard to control and would leave a huge hole a T & D site. Who is to decide the type of work that stays and goes?

Filters are a great idea.

Ok.. I took the time to go read the tease in question... Is it the beach one you are talking about?

No disrespect meant to Kristina and it was a lovely read but I can see how people would (under my current understanding of a web tease) rate it lower than some others.

There is no instruction, no stroking, no edging, not much of anything you normally see in a web tease.

If it were on dancing with the stars and she was doing the foxtrot they would say something like. Nice to watch but you left out some components.

I hope that makes sense without criticizing her work in a bad way, that is not my intent.

And I will say it because I know some are thinking it as well, the fact that the bottom of each page is an link/ad to a pay site doesn't help. Not that I have an issue with pay sites (duh) but those are the types of things that push buttons the wrong way.

I might also mention... the way I found this site was when someone posted a link in a yahoo group to a specific tease.

I would NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER in a zillion years have clicked on that tease had I come to this site in the front door... but...

It was HOT!

Alright, so I'm currently testing a new feature to help with this problem. My foremost concerns were that it should be quick and easy to use (obviously), available to unregistered users and powerful enough to influence more than just the teasebrowser.

So I came up with this:







The idea is that you choose from one of only a few selected topics that we can actually present a number of teases for. The list may get longer, but for the moment we just need a few where there are actually are some teases available. More suggestions are welcome. They may overlap btw, that's no problem from a technical point of view. The only two criteria are that there most be a few teases with the topic and a lot of viewers looking for that topic.

The setting will have effect throughout the site, most notably in the webtease browser. In some places it will not actually remove the results that have been filtered out, but simply visually deemphasize them.

Choosing "all" essentially deactivates the feature.

I have a bunch more features in the works. The one tex suggested is great, although I think only few people would use it - already only very few people ever use the filtering features (less than 10%). But it's still something we might very well do.

This is just an idea for now - feedback is welcome and I'm also still refining it myself.
