I am so sorry

I am so sorry, and I hate to be labeled a complainer. And this site is free, free, free.

I appreciate the wonderfull and creative stories, and the hot pictures. The forum can make some interesting reading, and to be honest, this site has helped me get thru more than one restless night.

All in all, thank you all so much,

Second, i am no great speller, nor do i always use proper grammer, or even proper placement. but i always make the effort.

Having said all that, my problem is, i do not understand when someone writes would might be a great tease, that they obviously want to share with others, and make it almost impossible to read.

Now i don't mean the people for whom English is a second language, but for those that seem to use it as a first. I see things like all caps, no punctuation, or, at best, the occasional question mark or exclamaition point,

Also, the long run together paragraphs are, for me, hard to read and follow.

And then my pet peeve, one that seems to pop up here a lot.
the use of the word "to" compared to the word "too"

These are two differwnt words, pardon the pun, and, while this is just a personal hang-up, it will stop me cold during a tease to read "slave, is it getting to hard for you to control...." etc etc.

I wish some of us with too much free time could go in and edit the teases where it is obvious that the writing was a rush job. And it would have to be a rush job, right? I mean, no one that has been thru any schooling where english is taught would make these mistakes on purpose, would they?

sorry again, but its just making me crazy.

and yes, on purpose, just to see if anyone notes the mistakes I made in spelling and grammer

I'm 100% with you on the all caps and no punctuation/paragraphs thing. Especially all caps.

The rest of it doesn't really bother me though.

yeah i hate when there are really long paragraphs with no punctuation. it sounds like the domme is speaking all in one breath as fast as she can. ruins the fantasy.

but like ive said before, you can usually tell on the first page (or even just from the tease description) if the writing is bad, there are plenty more good ones out there.

Its a shame becuase some of the teases would be really great if the punctuation was right. For example I was reading the tease 'Peepin at cousin' last night. I loved the model, the ideas, etc. and the writing would have been great if there were a few full stops in there.

I dont think grammar/spelling has to be perfect as long as its easy to read.

some are almost like a Romanian accent, but no one in Romania could be that bad at English - even if they never heard the language before.

Or when english is not your native language :-P I wonder how many people here who complain about grammar offered their help to the author. A PM to him would be so easy :innocent:

In the US, we spend almost nothing on education, and yet expect the public schools to teach the usual subjects plus morals and ethics, babysit, and feed children. If the grammar is so bad it bothers you, please blame those who want to cut education spending in this country.

Dark,

i would not want to offend the person by saying something directly

Julia,

See, i was homeless from the time i was 13, and my education was in the southern US, which has never been the best.
No, at some point you must take responsibilty for yoursefl and not blame the system

and, Dark, i did mention that this was not about the non english speakers

littlepos why is it offending to offer help? My point is, if you don't like the writing style just go ahead and pick an author you like. We had this discussion a couple of times now. I can say I am thankful for every contribution, especially the ones from people who are not so safe with the language. They often have to put even more effort into it.

This forum topic will not change anything. If you guys notice somebody who has problems with the english language then help him. I think that's the only way to make it better. Do something productive to change it or live with it :-)

I dont think its people that have trouble with the language that are the problem. Its just people that obviously havent read through what they just typed. It only takes a minute and can improve a tease no end.

But yeah, whatever. This site is free, anyone can contribute so everything must be appreciated. At least those people take time to write something in the first place.
