I'm finally making some progress on the next release of ESM, and I figured I'd post how it's going, both because people keep asking and because it might be a good way to help me keep track of where I'm at and what I have to do.

This release should hopefully finish out the house path for Karma and Jade, which will also finish out the house completely (except for a few side projects I might do). They mostly revolve around the same location, the living room and dad's pristine white couch. So far the sections are:

SECTION ONE:

Spoiler: show

SNIFF THE COUCH
Karma and Jade texted you to sniff the couch where they made out. Now you can!
Several variations depending on what you smell and how it triggers you.

31 pages total. DONE!

SECTION TWO:

Spoiler: show

BRIDGETTE TELLS YOU HER PLAN IN THE LIVING ROOM
Another variation on Bridgette's end speech with all new images and several new paths.

29 new pages. MOSTLY DONE! I screwed one thing up here that takes 2 pages that I need to completely revise. Call it 90% DONE. UPDATE 2/5/26 DONE! Eventually I may port the stuff I'm replacing to another segment, but that's way down the line.

SECTION THREE:

WATCHING TV IN THE LIVING ROOM
A new activity you can do in the afternoon.

A new activity you can do when you're alone in the evening. Requires trying to watch TV in the living room in the afternoon.

If you don't try to watch TV in the afternoon, and you haven't been instructed to smell the couch, you can actually watch TV in the living room. Three different shows you can choose from!

You can text Karma back if she and Jade text you after the pool scene. Varies based on your relationship with Karma.

Hey mate, really glad to hear from you! I'm thrilled you're still working on the game, it's honestly the only one I check regularly for updates. Thanks so much for all the effort you put into it.

If you ever consider expanding on it in the future, I'd love to see more scenes with the vibrator Bridgette gives the MC after he catches her. Maybe something like him sneaking it into his room to sniff/use it while masturbating and Bridgette walking in on him or him experimenting with it on himself. Just a fun idea for later on!

FAQ: Why does it take so long to do an update?
A: Check out today's progress. I'd done 2 pages of Karma's texts, section 6v3. I thought I had 8 to go. The past few days I did 12 pages of new material on that section, mostly variations of early sections, which makes it easier... But it's still not done. I figure there's maybe 4 more pages to go? So, it can be a treadmill. This tale definitely grows in the telling (with apologies to Prof. Tolkien who'd be horrified by this entire project, no doubt),*






*Maybe not so much CS Lewis. Apparently, he was a bit of a freak.

Life got busy again, so progress slowed. I just updated the progress report above.

Close is a relative term since it depends on how much time I have to work on things. And that can vary wildly depending on my current circumstances with work and family. Also there's always the possibility of mission creep. But at 76% done, the next update is closer to finished than not at this point. I think.
