CBT & Irritants

Greetings all,

A question for those that care to explore; What is a good scale of irritants for CBT using readily available chemicals?

These can vary from mild options; Mouthwash, Toothpaste, Menthol.
Through to harsh pain-control creams (ironic  ).
Or on to fuller sensations; Ginger, Hot-sauce, etc...

What else could be safely used?
Where would you rate each on a scale of one-to-ten?
Is there a good link to someone else's research?

Note; hygiene should always be paramount, regardless of personal tolerances.

Great source for info on chemical play:

Do NOT skip the youtube video about the dangers of topical creams that include methyl salicylate, as it could kill you.

Triple check that any topical ointment that you intend to use does NOT include methyl salicylate even in small amounts.

I once had side ordered some fancy looking massage oil and naive as I was on arrival decided to treat myself to a full body rub, including my intimate zone. Once I had covered myself in it neck to toe there was this sudden realization that it was a very strong camphor based icy hot, the next 30 minutes rank high on the worst one's of my life XD

I found that document many, many years ago and I believe the author started it in the late 90s and has updated it a few times over the years.
