HELP WANTED - Creating a beat track? TOOLS/TIPS?

Hey all,
I've just finished up a new video I would like to release soon, but I need some help/advice. How is everyone making their beat tracks? Any resources or tools I should be looking at?

I have music and FX and everything else done in my video, but I'm unsure how to move forward with a beat track. I think I'm going to need a solid beat track to better guide the experience.

Also I'm kind of using this project to learn more about Davinci Resolve, so anyone using Davinci for this please comment.

One other thing, what is everyone's opinion on beat meters? Full meter all the way? Short hint whenever the beat changes? I want to keep the beats relatively simple so it may not be necessary but it is a 43min video.

Most people use the Beatmeter Generator from the forum here. With this you can make both the beat sounds and the beatmeter itself.

You can also go one step further and create the beats with a DAW. A DAW is a music production software where you can do everything that has to do with music. That's what I do, it's more accurate in my opinion, but you don't necessarily have to do it.

You can also do the beatmeter without the beatmeter generator. There are instructions here in the forum on how to do this in Davinci Resolve.

I use moon scraper and clone hero to make my beat tracks but it might be more work than other options. I do it that way because I wanted the tracks to look and feel more like guitar hero.

+1 for beatmeter generator, makes good beats (though it can be hard to sync 100% at least for me)

I used that then davinci and it seems like a reasonable workflow

if you are not gonna change beats too often having the beat meter fade in and out whenever a change is coming could be good, I usually switch up beats a lot more so I just stick with it basically always visable

Hi!

Of course a matter of taste, I personally prefer both, full all the way + small little hints about beat changes displayed on the beatmeter, not outside of it.

Greetz,

Yea some of the tracks I have are proving very tricky to find a good beat for. But I've mostly got the hang of the beat maker and I'm close to finished with my beat.
