When someone tries to assert themselves an “Alpha” I can’t help but think of the following:

Alpha is the letter that cums first in the Greek alphabet.
Alpha particles can’t even penetrate a piece of paper, but are dangerous if they get inside you.
Alpha version of software is unstable, missing important features, filled with flaws, and not fit for the public .
“Alpha” behavior observed in wolves is a stress response to captivity.

Alpha is just a word, it can symbolically mean whatever we want it to mean.

When a person thinks of themselves as Alpha, it can be a sign of personal confidence, or just social rudeness.

I like to think about the equivalent in a Dom/Domme.
These folk can be either; great leaders, with natural carisma.
Or the worst sort of person you'd ever meet, completely selfish and demanding without offering mutual respect.

We also have the freedom to perceive others in our own way, regardless of how they percieve themselves.
