Hi everyone! Im new here and this is my first post!

I would like to buy myself a chastity cage, but due to the fact that I dont have that much money I have to be pretty selective when it comes to my options. I found a pretty cheap resin one. I would like to know what your opinions are on resin chastity cages. No, Im not planning on wearing it constantly or days on end.
Keep in mind, Ive never done chastity before. Thank you!

My experience with resin cages has been that they work just fine as long as they are well made, the bad ones I've had suffered from one of two issues, one fixable and one not.

The fixable issue is sharp edges on the device, most likely due to a bad mold or issues when removing the pieces from the mold during the manufacturing process. These can make the device VERY uncomfortable especially if they are on the ring or the inside of the cage itself. They are easy to fix though and a few minutes with a file or a piece of sandpaper will clean them right up (I've even seen a few cages that came with a small piece of sandpaper in the box for exactly this reason).

The more serious issue (and the one that is almost impossible to fix) is bad seams. If the device is made in multiple parts the seams will obviously create a weak spot and if the seam is in a bad place (i.e along the tube or across the ring where movement and stress will be applied) the glue has a bad habit of failing causing the cage/ring to split. I've only had this happen once personally but it will functionally destroy the cage and can be somewhat dangerous (the split caused sharp points to appear which if sat on could have caused some serious damage to some very sensitive body parts).

Great that you want to try out chastity with your own cage.
I can totally recommend resin cages. I've played with one myself for long years and they are super comfortable.
However, I also fully agree on the problems mentioned by

If you want a chastity cage that you mainly use while also stimulating yourself, it can get hard to find a good one.

Since you said that you're on a budget I can additionally recommend this cage:
https://www.amazon.de/ChicLSQ-Penisk%C3 ... B08XJYLK8V
Its a plastic one, but it is really comfortable. I know of multiple people wearing it for months now and they love this cage.
I only use it occasional for play sessions, just like you want.
I don't know, though, if it's available in other countries :-)

Thanks for the answers, but Im talking about one particular resin cage, Im not looking for alternatives. Amazon does ship in Romania, but rather scarcely and the international shipping fees are a bitch. Thank you again!

I've kinda dabbled with chastity cages but never that seriously
Am not sure what the one you've been considering is like, but I guess the short answer is, from what you describe how you intend to use it, that I suspect it would probably work.
You might not get the greatest experience if the design doesn't fit that well.
But if you'll only be wearing it for up to a few hours, and it doesn't cause any pain/injury during that time, it should be good enough and worthwhile.

I've bought 2 chastity cages so far
The first was a cb-3000: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CB-X-CB-3000-C ... 002ZCXT2C/
Looking back, it was an awful cage and expensive for what it was.
It was also relatively complicated with a lot of parts (different sized spacers, lots of ring options etc) - although that was sort of the main benefit, it was pretty adjustable and after choosing the length a sort of one size fits all.
But, in a similar way to what Grimm said about multiple parts, that was it's flaw - eventually the cage split right down the middle on the top.
Having said that, it was a useful introduction, I learnt how they work, got an idea on what it was like etc.

The second one I got was a cheap-ish mass produced metal one (probably made in china) - this was much better, though still not that brilliant - I forget where I bought it from, but it wasn't amazon, but it was similar to this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LOVONE-Penis-C ... B09B42TYWZ
The metal and the open design was great as it is easy to clean - it's stainless steel and doesn't rust
It was much simpler - 2 parts the ring and the cage (no spacers like in the cb3000) - it came with 2 ring sizes, one was definitely too small and the other was about right
In hindsight and from what I've learnt, the size I went with for the cage was too long, but it's still fairly practical, and I can wear it for a reasonably long period of time

Neither of them were resin, and I might consider a resin one next
On the other hand, I might try another cheap-ish metal one next - slightly smaller and slightly different design. Then maybe I might think about one of the more expensive resin ones like kink3d or cherry keeper after i have got a bit closer in terms of working out sizing

Have learnt quite a lot from reddit subs - the chastity training one has a lot of good links - of course be aware that posts here will often contain pictures of users' cocks in chastity cages to showcase purchases or to ask opinions from other users of the subreddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/chastitytraining/
https://www.reddit.com/r/chastitytraini ... lmost_all/
https://www.reddit.com/r/chastitytraini ... ing_guide/
There's also https://www.reddit.com/r/chastity/ which is very active with useful discussions - there are quite a few other subs on reddit too with varying levels of activity and some focusing on different perspectives of chastity

Trying to get the sizing right and finding one that fits well is something that is very rare to get right first time, so unless you're very lucky, and especially since you're trying to save on cost, you're probably going to find it's not the best fit.
However, you should be able to get a reasonable experience and assuming it's something you want to continue with, you may find you'll be prepared to spend a bit more time/money getting something better in the future

Wary that this is a lot and probably way more than you need at this stage, but assuming you do buy the one you're looking at (or something similar), some of this may be useful after you've tried the cage over the course of a couple of weeks/months of short term lockups

I have one more quick question to ask. Should I be worried about the lock getting stuck or breaking the key in the lock? I really dont want to get stuck wearing it.

Regarding the lock getting stuck or the key breaking off
I can only speak from personal experience, and that is that neither of those has ever happened to me before
However it is of course a risk and have read stories from users on reddit where each of those scenarios has happened

Best options/advice i can suggest:
- try to keep the lock clean, free from dirt, and perhaps oil the mechanism from time to time
- learn how to pick padlocks with basic tools - there’s a youtube channel called the lockpicking lawyer https://www.youtube.com/lockpickinglawyer/about which is a useful resource if the lock stops working and i think may have something on snapped keys
- buy some cheap boltcutters from a local hardware/tool/diy shop - in the worst case scenario you can use them to cut the padlock. I suspect you could probably even use a pair of pliers to snap the thin metal shackle on most cheap padlocks that come with chastity cages. Though may be worth seeing if that is the case - you can also get the really really cheap padlocks that come with some bags and suitcases which would probably be even more true for them
- if you’re still worried you can consider using an alternative to a padlock such as some string (a thin shoe lace could work), a piece of trimmed wire, a cable tie, or even a paperclip. All of these will hold the cage on, and hopefully provide enough to prevent you removing the cage at will. You can also get (numbered) plastic locks which, like the cable ties, you can cut with scissors to remove: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Master-Keyhol ... B00M249E2W
- [edit] one more option occurred to me - combination lock padlocks, they don’t have a key although does require you remembering the combination - that may be a compromise between security and safety although they are still susceptible to some potential mechanism failures [/edit]

Hopefully something there helps, gives you some options and reassurance

When you say you don't have a big budget, how much are you looking to spend? Cages range in price from circa £20 to several £hundred. Obviously, there are differences in quality at different prices. Do you have any preexisting preferences for what the cage is made from? Any preferences on size? There quite a lot to choose from. I have reviewed, for bedbible.com an Oxy chastity starter kit that might suit you. I recommend having a look on bedbible.com to see various reviews.

if you're happy to wait 2 months for delivery just order direct from aliexpress, get the cheapest one you like the look of, then if it isn't quite right but you enjoy the general idea you can use that info to purchase something more specialised.

I have some success on wish.com as well, good prices, and shipping to where I live (Canada) is usually only 2 to 3 weeks.
I've gotten some real garbage plastic ones, but that's also where I got the metal one I use the most now.
On the plus side it allowed me to try several different styles. The biggest challenge was getting the right sizing.
Watch for ones that show the inner diameter of the "tube" in particular.

Hey, I recently got the Holy Trainer V5, and I totally recommend it! The lock has been upgraded to a button system, which is way more convenient compared to the V4’s old-school padlock. It feels more secure too!
If you're curious about the differences between the V4 and V5, check out this article Holy Trainer V4 vs Holy Trainer V5: Which Chastity Cage Should You Choose? for a detailed comparison.
