I just joined and I am currently starting my work to create a 4K at 60FPS Cock Hero using the AV1 spec. I will gather some source materials, luckily there is actually a plethora of content. This will be my first rodeo making a CH. I don't know how long this endeavor will take but I think it will be worth the wait.

I will be going with the artcore/glamcore niche as that is what I am currently subscribed to and they seem to know what they're doing. Everything is shot in 4K/6K/8K. I think they always shoot with RED cameras. So I hope y'all are okay with artistic style porn. Sometimes I see it referred to as "female friendly." WowGirls/Ultra Films/Angels.Love is my content pool. I wish X-ART and Colette.com had 60FPS on their sites, they had some great content before going completely dark. On another note I wonder if I should overclock my RTX 4090 and 13700KF to help with production software :p... Anyway, back to it..

Sweet. I wan't to use some instrumental progressive post metal tracks from a band I love called Intronaut. I think the metal vocals could mess the vibe, but I also think that the quick change ups and fast rhythms would be perfect. Once I find that sweet balance of the original video audio to the instrumental doom, djent of Intronaut (Also Baroness) well then I'll be set :)

Sounds like the proper thing, man! I love that youre chasing that 4k60. Not enough 60fps content! I wish more people used that frame rate, it looks so much better!

I'm trying to figure out a way to edit these H264 files with minimal compression. I'm trying to do my blowjob section and I decided just because it was free to try and use Davinci Resolve and I export to H265 and it brings it a little bit of artifacting. I can tell it's not as clear as the original files. It still looks pretty good, perhaps I shouldn't try and reencode H264 to 265. I would hope I could just make clips that I need and they would match the original file quality, but currently it's noticeable that they don't. I'm sorry for the newb-ness but this is my first go at this. Any feedback is welcome. Thank you all kindly. I can't wait to have a 4K 60FPS cock hero out for you all :) it'll be a wait.

This will decrease the quaility further. The less encoding steps there are between source material and final product, the better. You should try different settings on the H.265 encoder (depends on codec). Generally a 2-pass encoding will produce better results that a 1-pass. Also a slower encoding provides better results. Be sure to not upscale 1080p to 4k in this step, it has to be done with the help of AI beforehand to have the best quality. Same for 24/30 fps to 60.

Luckily all the source materials that I have gathered for this project are H264, 3840x2160 @ 60FPS so no need to use any AI upscale or anything. I think most of the source material was shot on very fancy cameras. RED?? I started using Adobe Premiere Pro with a 2nd Pass and my little mini cuts are looking fantastic. No dip in quality. I'm not sure why my little edits are so big in file size though...but I think it'll be okay.

Don't forget about that fantastic open source video compression tool named HANDBRAKE

I have only used that software, although with inconclusive results... For me the h.265 codec didn't work out as expected, sadly.

By the way, I'm another fan of such (not so) niche genre! Hopefully your work will have enough progression (from softcore to more vanilla stuff) throughout it.
