Cheer for the Athletics while they are still here...

The Crossdressing Club had such a good time at the Giants Pride Day in June, we decided to do it again at the Oakland Athletics Pride Night on Friday, September 1!
The A’s Pride celebrations commemorate Glenn Burke, who played 101 games for the team in 1978 and 1979. A multi-sport star athlete at Berkeley High, Burke was a gay man out to his teammates but not the general public. He retired from baseball after only four seasons in the major leagues; he came out fully in 1982. Burke died of AIDS-related complications in 1995. The A’s first recognized him in connection with their Pride events in 2015.
A portion of ticket sales to the A’s Pride Night will support the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center, and early arriving fans receive a pair of A’s Pride Socks (the team is doing a number of socks-related promotions this season; why socks, I do not know). The special Pride Night tickets are $33 plus fees.
If you want to come with us on September 1, Annelise is coordinating the ticket purchase, so reach out to reserve a seat with our group. Deadline for reservations with the Crossdressing Club is this Friday night, August 25.
We are celebrating 12 years of events together this October!
We meet ONLINE on the 2nd Thursday of every month for a discussion group on Zoom - the next Online International Crossdressing Club is on September 14th, RSVP here: https://fetlife.com/events/1216619
We meet IN PERSON in San Francisco on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. We get dressed together, then go clubbing at a nightclub dungeon afterparty. The next IRL Crossdressing Club meets on September 20th, RSVP: https://fetlife.com/events/1216620
