Cam sessions question

By way of background, I am a securitygeek and technologist. As such, here's something I've wondered for a long time, especially in the age of MySpace, Facebook, and all sorts of social networking sites and the ability to record video and images from chats: how do you handle such 'features' of technology and the potential consequences in the realm of adult entertainment?

I ask because there are times where I've been tempted to join in a video tease session, or even "work" with someone via the Net (even folks I trust) but have been very hesitant for privacy purposes....not privacy in terms of me-and-her, but just as the result of the technological environment we live, work, and play in these days, and never knowing if/when that privacy might be violated. Sure, we have aliases and nicknames, but the potential for having your *face* stored or made available in the Internet in certain contexts is a totally different thing in my view. I'm not shy, just privacy oriented.

How do folks deal with this? For that matter, DO folks worry about this?

Im not arsed personally. Im pretty easy to trace but I just dont see what people can do with the information they have on me...
OK so anyone who reads my posts/teases will know im a kinky bastard but then so do most of my family/workmates/friends, im very open and dont think i would even be bothered if my parents were reading this stuff.

As far as other security and the big brother issue, our private details are being spread around all over without out consent theres not much we can do about it (my girlfriend works in advertising, I know the scoop :-P ) . If im online and for some reason I have to fill out personal details I usually give the right address and wrong name just to see if I get any junk mail to that name through the post... incidentally just this morning I recieved an envelope addressed to Mr. T. Waddlediddle.... hahaha!

Funny.

Do you ever sign up for snail psotings (real mail catalogs) with other 'fun' names
Kinda like the Simsons (tv Cartoon)?

I have to be private
And am very, very careful about info,
only my spouce ( and you all of course) knows what i do.

So I never do any pay sites (people can track credit cards)
I can undrstand being cautious.

I was wondering
However, if your concern is someone 'hacking' your feed/ video?
I doubt highly if a pay site would splash your video out there. (They usually say in their contracts- which is a good reason to read terms and conditions)
Now if your not on a pay site and your just chatting with someone online
that I would be very concerned about doing anything video.

Most online mistresses have clauses for releasing your info.

I personnally think its a bad idea to do anything video with anyone your dating
(have you ever seen how many - this is my eX- videos are out there?)
(remeber The Baywatch girl who's hubby filmed the honneymoon and it became a huge internet vid?)

And remember the Milovana rule. If you don't like it- Don't do it.
Not a bad life philosophy.

That's pretty much my philosophy. Not worried about the video feed being hacked, but then for some reason (to use the Baywatch analogy) the vid of your session or your photo/clips somehow makes its way onto the Net at some point, either by accident or intentionally.

I had a g/f who wanted to do bedroom videos as something new, much to my distress - I indulged her on the condition that we'd hook the camera up to the TV to watch it, but that it would be deleted right after.....and seeing how this was RIGHT after the Pam Anderson video fiasco made the news, she was happy with that deal - I indulged her fantasy/curiosity, and she indulged my concerns for privacy. Win-win.

But I agree: if you don't like it, don't do it. 'taint nothing wrong with that!

I'm also a bit securitygeek. I'm really cautious with my privacy. The only (few) times I did (porn) video chats, I was behind proxies chained together, and I've never show my head or any sign that could relate me to the video.

For instance, I've never accessed this website without proxies (and probably never will) -- also because where I live there are lots of restrictions in the internet access, adult sites are blocked, and it wouldn't be fun to "get caught" accessing Milovana.

This nickname, for instance, and the mail address associated to it... I only use it behind proxies, and not the same proxies I use for other reasons. One could say that "this is another myself".

I'm sure I can be tracked down, but I don't think it would be easy; actually I think it would only be possible if something really big was looking after me... and I don't see why someone would like it.

People are not being spied on the internet for looking at porn! Just don't be silly and don't expose yourself, and you might never have problems.
