You can download every video that you can stream. You must install Video DownloadHelper extension in your browser. When your video is playing you can select this specific video from the extension menu, and the video is saved in your download directory.

I've found cococut quite useful - works on a lot of sites these days and works as an extension for chrome or any chromium based browser:

It can be a bit sluggish at times and it does try to push it's premium pay options
If it can't find the link it can also use a recording mode where you can skip through the video and it will stream the video to download.
You have to remember to tell it to save the file after it completes the file which can be annoying if you're just leaving the download running in the background. Once it's done you have to go back to the tab and click the save button, otherwise it's lost
