Recommendations for teases without timers?

I dislike timers in teases, especially when they seemingly serve no purpose other than to delay text and pad out the length. You end up reading the text in 2 seconds then just waiting around for another 6-8 seconds for the next sentence.

There are a few timers, but they’re like 10seconds max and only for dramatic effect.

Flip your webtease advanced settings onto 'Regular' (Classic) type, these are all the page based teases.
Some of the best story's have been written in this style.
