Questions as a potential fledgling creator

Hey all
Having been on Milovana a couple of months now I have been inspired by the great creators here to try my hand at making a PMV. For now I'm not sure if it will be for my own enjoyment or whether I'll release it. Obviously a lot will depend on the end result and how viable it is to publicly use the content I have in mind. Either way, I should make it clear that it's going to be an extremely slow process (I'm still learning Da Vinci Resolve as, more or less, a total layman to video editing - so we are talking several months most likely) and as my first attempt, it likely won't be anything special. No theme, no beatmeter, no story, more just a mix of my favourite videos and music set up in a way that (hopefully) do both justice. So far I have about half of a 15 second intro sequence laid out and a structure of sorts, listing the music I want to use and the scenes I'll put with them - very early days. In the end, total runtime should end up being about 45 mins long if all goes to plan.
Anyways, to the point at hand. I had a few questions before going any further with it, and would appreciate your feedback:
1) When clips have website or creator watermarks, do you find it preferable to leave them in to maintain the video's original size/quality, or crop/zoom the video to remove them where possible for a cleaner video? Do you feel there would be moral implications to removing them, even when credit is given at the end of the video?
2) Despite videos here being free community creations, are there any moral or legal implications to using content from independent performers (e.g Lana Rain, Purple Bitch, Hidori Rose etc). This links into my earlier comment about "viability of public use" when creating a video.
3) Is it reasonable to post asking for help from other Milovana users/creators in obtaining hard to get source material at higher qualities in order to complete a planned video, or is this against the rules/generally frowned upon?
Sorry this post got a bit lengthy - I appreciate any feedback given!
Many thanks,
Kenz
