Milovana.com

Hi everyone, when I try to go to https://milovana.com/ without a VPN the website doesn’t load at all. I wish I could elaborate but that’s all that happens, a gray unloaded page. I live in Turkey where there’s some internet censorship but I doubt they specifically added milovana to that list. https://www.comparitech.com/privacy-sec ... edinturkey This website says that milovana is not blocked in my country. The site loads when I use Opera VPN or Aloha browser VPN’s but for speed, privacy and some other reasons I’d prefer not to use them. When I try Cloudflare DNS to visit this website it gives me Error 525 SSL Handshake failed and blames milovana.com (host) which I think is wrong because the site is indeed up. Any way I can troubleshoot further, give more info or fix this? Appreciate any help

If you're using Firefox, you can open the developers panel by pressing F12. Other browsers have similar capabilities that might also be enabled by pressing F12.

What I did in this example was:

• Press F12 to open the developers panel
• Choose the 'Network' tab on the developer panel
• Enter "https://milovana.com" into the URL box and hit return

This shows me this: If you could do something similar with your browser, you might be able to see where it's stopping.

Note: If your 'Network' shows no entries at all, press Ctrl-F5 to force a refresh of the page.

It does look like Turkey restricts quite a lot, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_ ... _in_Turkey, but it would interesting to see what your browser thinks is going on.

Turns out milovana.com was banned in 2014 in Turkey. Was about to do the thing you told but instead of a gray screen I got the "this website is blocked for your safety!!!!" warning.

That's a shame, but at least you managed to find the cause in the end. You might have to invest in a commercial VPN if the free ones have poor performance or privacy concerns.

A commercial VPN service is indeed something I would encourage in general, and especially when living in regions where such censorship is a thing.
