When I select New Game it just sits there playing music for what seems to be an indefinite time period...

Should be sword it had been fixed it now.

Actually I planned to add a equipment system but that was eventually abandoned.

Your time calculation function can end up dividing by zero and causing the tease to softlock.

Try another network node maybe help
New game should be connected with intro part.

Better now! I had tried several times, and other functions like Skip Intro worked, just not New Game. Weird!

I thought you have adventured to floor 9. Now lack of attack can not go to floor 9. It will show Lack of magic power.

I think i accidentally overflowed the attack levels?

I already had access to floor 9, the boss on floor 10 was telling me my attack was too low, so i started grinding levels to increase it. At one point the times on the 8th floor started going back up all the way to a minute when i had them down to ~15s before. And then it started telling me my magic was too low to get to the 9th floor again?

Increasing my attack or or defence more didn't seem to help either so i gave up...

Otherwise this is a really great tease, good work! Just sad that I couldn't finish it... yet

Because Devil's guards have a ability(absorb your attack). My advice is to explore floor 8 as less as possible

Looks amazing so far, I would suggest adding a notification back button for people who clicked code on the main menu and didn't have a code.
Also is the music supposed to stop after clicking on difficulty settings?

Fixed now. When click the Code by mistake, just type any words and there will be a Leave button. For Set difficulty the bgm is added. By the way, would you like that there are different bums in each floor?
