Hi Folks,

Would there be any interest in a CH Softcore Collaboration 3?

I know I am interested and I would like to contribute a round and maybe even do the assembly of the video.

I'd love to hear about how the other two went and how the assembly was done. I'm curious if the music was pre-chosen and beatmeters pre-built or was each collaborator responsible for those parts?

I don’t know how they proceed for the two first. I guess if you want to start a new collaboration you will be the project chief the «  director »

Creating only one round of a whole project is the best because you can really invest time in and upscale the quality of the final product.

It definitely has to be a leader in the project. I don't know about the music choice, but the beatmeter and the progression thing must be coordinated altogether. I think they used a discord server in the previous ones?

About me, I'm afraid I don't have the time nor energy to do that, but I'd be glad on making a single round.

I guess there are different ways to go about it. This is how we did it with the first one:

Every author submitted his round + mp3 beat track. Visual beat meter was then created by one of the group member. Intro, outro and breaks were also done by one person for consistency.
Putting everything together and doing the final render was done by project leader.

Music or beats weren't prechosen. Every author was given full creative freedom. Only later we started to look for more specific rounds in order to have good progression and variety.

As was said above, you will need a project leader that will gather the team, define project parameters, set deadlines and posibly reject objectively very low quality submissions or the ones that just don't fit at all.
Managing the project will take time and effort so consider if it's something that you would enjoy.

Having developement thread here to keep everyone up to date + discord to disscus all the details seems like the way to go. FragrantEmulsion should be owner of the server now so you can ask him to give you his role if you want to continue the series.

Speaking as a content consumer: Euhm, yes!
And looking at the content creators that have already replied, I'd say that's a video right there

I asked each creator to submit the round and the beat track. Though some of them rendered their own anyway.

I would love to produce a round for this one.

I may try to make a round if I manage to find some free time. If needed, can also put together the beatmeter as in the first one.

I can lead the project, unless Digitalparkinglot really want to lead it as he introduced the idea, then I don't mind leaving it to him.

I want to keep it 100% softcore, just saying right now before some misunderstanding get in the way.

I will created a discord for this project and send invite to people interested in creating a round (to the extend we have too much people). This being said, there will be quality control and I don't want anybody get frustrated if a round is deemed not good enough. To avoid frustration I will ask to submit the material (music, videos) that will be used for the round and then submit a small demo, like 30s to 1 min for approval. This would avoid that people put a lot of time in and get denied. From the demo if we are not sure if the round would be ok, we can help from there to make it better.

The way I see it for approval, I want everybody to vote Yay or Nay for the submitted demo (except the author) and from there if it is a nay we will try to orient and make it a Yay (It is not my goal to nay somebody, but we have to put it on the table right now because everybody wants that project to be really good right ?).

I would really like pl3b to created the beatmeter for this one because he did an amazing job at normalizing tracks and creating a on point really clean beatmeter for episode 1.

I would also really appreciated that Digitalparkinglot, (because I feel he is interrested to do it) created the intro, transitions between rounds, and ending. That almost need to be created by the same author for consistency.

I think the team we have here has great potential.

I just encounter an issue that I did not think about. If you don't want to jump on a discord server, that is not a problem, we can coordinate through Milovana for the creation of the round. At the end of the day, it is just you creating a round and somebody else compilating that round into a cohesive project.
