Asking for model's permission/buying sets

Hi,
Has anyone ever tried asking a model for permission to use their photos in a webtease? Thinking of doing so myself if I ever make one, and was wondering how it went if anyone has tried.
Also wondering if anyone's ever bought a custom photo set specifically for a tease.

I don't think anyone has purchased custom sets for a tease. Getting a custom photoshoot is expensive, and can typically cost in the $10,000 range. People do request custom shoots from major studios though.
As for asking for permission, people tend to link photos to fuskator and other online galleries, instead of asking for permission. If a model wants an image taken down, they can just complain to those galleries. Porn industry doesn't seem to care too much about individual photos, since porn movies make up most of the revenue.
On a different note, there have been amateurs that have created photoset content themselves for the webteases they create. They usually take pictures of themselves with their spouse, or others, and cover the faces. It is rare though, since most of us don't have that nice of a body figure.

I was just mentioning this in another post regarding DMCA. Most of these teases will fall under Fair Use provided three conditions are met.
- Entertainment for nonprofit use
- Picture galleries were publicly accessible without cost, such as found in advertisements
- Logo of the advertiser remains unchanged
Fair use

Some people are ok with "its probably ok" answers. However if you want official permission and you want to use the "sample" pictures from websites then its not that hard to get.
Most website have a link near the bottom of the homepage for "webmasters" where you can sign up. If you sign up as a webmaster then they* will give you the rights to use the sample pictures however you want** to try and advertise their site. If you succeed in sending paying customers their way they will pay you. To help you do your work they give you all the sample pictures for a particular site in easily downloadable and searchable formats.
Now there are hundreds of sites that have signed up to this and put their pictures in a gallery, so that part of the market is relatively crowded. However putting their pictures in a webtease opens up new markets for their site and advertising in ways they didn't expect is exactly why these schemes were put in place.
The downsides is that registering will require an email address and may require a website (some accept sites like tumblr where you can post "I have a new webtease featuring Hailey Leigh" when appropriate, but the premium sites like playboy will look for a full custom website and domain). If you want to be paid you will need to provide appropriate details and probably a real name too.
Of course the payment stuff is just a bonus - the real reason to do this is that you are turning a legally grey area into one that is black and white with you on the white side. Just put a link in the last page of the webtease to the sites landing page.
* "they" (the people you are dealing with) is often the studio rather than the model, as the studio has the rights to the picture (the model is usually paid an hourly or daily rate and their contract will leave the studio owning the rights to use the images/videos). For example to show pics from when Niemira shoot with playboy you need to talk to playboy about the pics not talk to Niemira. Of course for someone like Bryci the model and the studio are the same person.
** some sites have restrictions to avoid competition with them. For example I've seen rules saying you can't buy google ads which put you above the real site in people's search results. Read the T&C if you want to be sure - but generally webteases would be ok.
If you did want to buy scenes then quite a few models on MFC or only fans will offer custom videos for sale, and I assume they would do pics too if you asked. I've seen prices of $20, $50 or $100 for 5-10 minute custom videos. I suspect somewhere like extralunchmoney is a cheaper version with less professional models too. The thing to be careful of here is that you don't just want them to send you a private video or photos - you want to own the rights to the content. That may cost more.
Like Bandit said you could also get a whole professional shoot with a few people in the cast (multiple models) and all the supporting people (makeup artist, directors, lighting, sound, fluffer, etc) but that would be expensive.

As a photographer I would like to add some thoughts here on shooting models.
Photoshoots do NOT "typically cost in the $10,000 range". Some sure do. Even more. Those you are most likely refering to cost less than $300.
If a client pays $10,000, Where does the money go?
- photographer
- model
- hair & make up artist
- stylist (who organizes the outfits)
- equipment
- location rental
- production company (who brings everything together)
...but not all of these are always needed. I have done many low budget and no budget productions with really nice results. I get very beautiful and talented agency models for free... why? Because the agent always needs more shots for her portfolio. That means of course I need to deliver shots suitable for a model portfolio. But I can also realize personal projects with the model in the same shoot. It comes with some restrictions though. I cannot sell those photos. If I wanted to, I'd have to pay the agency in the first place. That's also the reason why I'd have to quite a client a much higher price than it would cost me.
The same logic applies to other areas as well, like equipment. My camera and lighting equipment is worth a few $10k. I already own it, so it doesn't cost me anything to use it, no matter how much I shoot. But when I shoot for a client, I charge them roughly what a rental company would charge, since I somehow need to earn back the money I paid for the gear. Then again, you can get beautiful results with $1k worth of equipment if you know what you're doing. It really depends more on skills than gear.
Most agencies cater to fashion / lifestyle / advertising clients. That means I cannot use their models for glamour shoots (or they will never talk to me again). But that's fine, since there are freelance models who are not represented by an agency. They typically don't have the body proportions of a fashion model, but they enjoy modeling, they are open-minded, and they earn good money from doing more glamour / tease stuff. In Europe you typically pay a hot glamour model $100 to $150 for a shoot, in South East Asia it can be even less. They will often want you to shoot them nude (because they know it's paying more), but my style is more modest than explicit.
That said, if you're a decent photographer, you will get approached by newcomer models who simply want to shoot with you for free because they will get photos that help them get more paid shoots in the future. That's less likely for glamour, but I have actually once shot a girl for free who later appeared on a cover of a well-known international men's magazine.
I have quite some sets that would work well for webteases... but if I were to officially release them for that purpose, maybe that would not be the smartest idea for my reputation, as I am mostly shooting clean fashion and beauty stuff.
If you're taking content from adult pay sites, it's not unlikely they will agree to the use if you link back to them. The same idea applies here again: if you help them out, they help you out. If it's fashion models, don't even think about asking.
