If you took all the videos that Digitalparkinglot has created, it might total to 24 hours of footage.

Be prepared to spend at minimum 20 minutes editing per minute of video (I probably average 40). It would be faster but you have to factor in the time spent downloading clips, picking music, adding beats to the music, cutting videos up (more on this later), arranging clips, actually editing, etc. Unless you are planning on editing these videos with as little effort as possible, I don't think this project is something that can be accomplished unless you are extremely dedicated.

Start with a single round. Pick a song. Look at https://gitlab.com/SklaveDaniel/BeatmeterGenerator. You can use it to make a beat track .wav and then from there you have a backbone to sync your clips to. A more advanced solution would be to use a DAW and make the tracks align yourself. I don't know much about Resolve, I only use it to cut clips up automatically using their shot detection tool. (Very useful for cut heavy videos like StasyQ). In Premiere, I just drop markers to blockout the "level." I decide based on how the music sounds which instrument I want to use as my marker queue, and then I can snap clips to those markers. I don't like to spend alot of time fussing with effects and transitions, so most of the time I just use cuts. Make sure that there are no "ghost frames" at the beginning or end of the clip.

If you start with a single round, you will learn and it won't be as daunting of a task. Anyone can learn how to put together these videos. I sat on the sidelines yearning to make one for a few years before finally sitting down to do it.

Any idea to make a Cock Hero production is a good idea. :-D However, personally, I prefer that the needed time from begining to end be 'reasonable'. 24h implies that you have to stop mid-game and resume at a later date. If all the rounds can be done under 2h, that would be great! Plus, this is much less content to work on as a creator.

Btw, when you are done creating all the world-rounds, I can help with a video player taylored to the needed choose-and-auto-jumps.

I love CYOA Cock Heros, and your concept is incredibly interesting! As a first project, this is a gargantuan task, but if you are confident in yourself, and take it step-by-step, I believe you can accomplish it. Seeing as the scope is as large as it is, it will require much time and determination from you to keep it going. Of course, if you need help with anything, send me a PM and let me know. I'll be glad to test anything out and also provide feedback.

Also, if you are planning on incorporating a visual beat meter, I might be able to make it for you. However, I'm pretty busy right now and I'm working on another creator's project at the moment. So far, I made the beat meter graphics for CH French Riviera and CH 2019: A Sperm Odyssey. I make the graphics custom tailored to suit the creator's needs. Alternatively, you could try kerkersklave's beat meter generator, or pl3b's beat meter tools (if you use After Effects). Of course, having no visual beat meter is also acceptable.
ElLoser27 wrote: Wed Dec 25, 2019 4:32 am As for the story, My thoughts would be you trying to find 10 Mirror Shards to complete and fix the Main Mirror for the Final World. For those that don't know this is kinda like the premise behind Kirby and the Amazing Mirror that was released in 2004. I might have been playing too much of that game recently. I know I'm a Loser.
When I read that, you put a huge smile on my face. What a coincidence! I was playing that game about a month ago. I love Kirby, and Amazing Mirror is probably my favorite in the series. Will your CH feature any treasure chests with spray paint canisters contained within to recolor the beat meter with? :-P Will Crazy Hand pop out of my computer screen and start jerking me off? :yikes:

Anyways, I completely love this concept (and your diagram). You're not a loser in my book! :-)

Hey, first of all, please don't call yourself a loser.
Unless it's your kink ofcourse.

I will just echo what has been said by others - this seems like huge undertaking for both you as an editor and also for the player.

It might be possible to create 24 hours of content, using minimal amounth of cuts and overall polish. But it would still be a lot of work.
I personally prefer quality over quantity, so I would rather watch 45 minutes of well cut and designed CH video over 10+ hours of stuff that was just quickly slammed together.

My advice is:
Try to create one round so you'll get an idea of how much work and time it will take, share it here with us on Milovana, get some constructive feedback and then possibly scale-down the project size if needed.

In other words - don't buy very expensive first guitar thinking you'll be a rockstar in no time. Borrow one from a friend who made the mistake himself and learn wheter you actually like to play a guitar in the first place.

I'm not going to be original here and will repeat what's already been said by others - I value quality over quantity. There are some CHs that are almost just the original videos or they're edited badly - intensity of the content doesn't match the current intensity of the music etc.

Personally I'll much prefer a 30min well-edited CH than a 10h one that has bad editing.

Such large projects seem to be a good idea for a collaboration, f but from my experience so far, for a 24h video that is actually good you'd need more creators than are currently in the community in total (including the ones that are inactive for some time already).

As suggested already - make one round first that is less one song long (5-6min) and then you'll see which direction you'd like to go.
