I know that sperm allergy is a real thing but I started wondering, how common is it?

I wouldn't say that I'm allergic, I am just hypersensitive because I get a sore throat from it and maybe a little swelling. Also one time I got it in my eye which in turn got really irritated and the eyelids got swollen.
I get no skin problems from touching cum, just when it gets somewhere sensitive like eyes or throat.

I am surprised someone could be allergic to something inside their own body. Allergies can be strange though.

I found it funny too that you can be allergic to yourself. But then again, tissue in your throat doesn't know what's being brewed downstairs.

And if I've understood right, the proteins in sperm are quite special compared to proteins in meat or many other parts of the human body.

Cum is slightly alkalic, like soap. When you get soap into your throat or into your eye the results are similar.

I honestly don't understand this much either. I get hives when I sweat (cholinergic urticaria), so I'd love some answers myself! Research hasn't gotten very far unfortunately :(

I wonder what would happen if you went to an allergist and had a skin test done with your cum. True allergies to semen are fairly uncommon but not unheard of. Some people get a reaction every time they ejaculate or are ejaculated in, ranging from skin irritation and hives all the way to anaphylactic shock (the more serious reactions are incredibly rare). If I were you, I'd experiment with taking a 10 mg Loratadine (Claritin) tablet about 1-2 hours before you expect to eat your cum to see if it prevents your symptoms. You could also try using a Claritin Reditab (dissolve on tongue) to relieve the sore/swollen throat if you start getting it. If you see relief from either of these tests, you're likely experiencing a histamine-related reaction (a true allergy). Hope this helps!

I don't have an issue ingesting cum, but if I get it on my skin, I end up with small splotches and a little bit of an itching sensation. Needless to say I've learned to be a swallower.
