Is it just me? Is not quality of strokes more important than # of strokes?

Post by raistlan1982 »

Not sure if it is just me... but I don't think doing 100 strokes is much different than doing 50 strokes unless the strokes are quality. What I mean by that is that I respond to fast strokes / slow strokes differently depending on my mood and arousal. So being asked to do 50 fast strokes in a tease might actually turn my arousal down instead of up - again due to the variable nature of what might turn me on the most.

Maybe that is the point? That being told to stroke a way in which isn't ideal for your pleasure is the punishment / frustration of it? Is that how it works for you when the instructions don't mesh well with your arousal patterns? Usually I just wind up getting bored and quitting if it looks like I'll never even get close to the edge.

I think that is why I far prefer edging instructions. An edge can take as long as it takes and stacking edges definitely moves me to the highest end of the horny-ness scale. But you could stack up thousands of monotonous strokes and I'd get to the point where fiddling my thumbs would be more entertaining.

What are your thoughts?

Nearly everyone ios going to feel just a little different formt he same set of instructions - 100 strokes to Xia might make one person edge, another might not even get hard from it. So I expect some interpretation from the user on how exactly to implement it yknow?

It's not just you. Fast strokes - especially at the beginning of a tease - rather numb me. They rarely ever feel good to me, usually only after some serious edging.

Less is more, I guess.

This. Sometimes I see a stroke number and then say "wow there's no way I can do all those strokes without edging" and then I go ahead and do it and I'm fine. If I'm on my own and trying to get to the edge, I can usually do it in less strokes than that. I think it's some mix of not wanting to edge and not doing quality strokes that causes this phenomenon. I'd be interested to hear other points of view on this matter too
