Anybody tried this out yet? It's mostly a VR thing but you can run it in desktop mode without much issue.
The hubs for it are the pateron: https://www.patreon.com/meshedvr and the subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/ which has a link to a discord as well.
It's been in work for a while now and I finally pulled the trigger on it about two weeks ago and am pretty hooked. I'm not going to lie, it's very hard to get started and required a bunch of reading and watching of videos to start understanding what you can do with it. But still if you download the free version and just stand up and walk around the default model and start poking and moving it around you can see the potential.
The community seems really great as well, overall very helpful and some people have come up with some great projects for it, very similar to here. What made me finally get it was the release of a plugin that supports qdot's buttplug.io, which powers many different devices like the fleshlight launch. I didn't get a lot of time to make it work yet, but the potential there is pretty rich. There are ton's of other great plug's, scenes, looks, and outfits to get, but still it's a lot to sort through and figure out how to get them into the game.
At the moment I think that what VAM does best is loading up a created scene where the girl will be running through a preset animation pattern someone might have created. There have been some updates that allow narrative though, and you can supply audio clips, transition to other scenes, and even have a limited UI of sorts to pick through them all.
So in terms of teases, one interesting thing in there is a rhythm force. It can identify beats in a song and generate an animation pattern, eg and up down movement from it. This means you could possibly take a beat track from a cockhero video and have the girl stroke you to the beat. I think to play videos within VAM you need some sort of streaming server set up and a plugin though, even if it is local. But ideally you could start the beat pattern and video at the same time, and look down to see the girl jerking you off to the beat. If you had a device with the vamlaunch plugin you could also have it run your fleshlight launch or whatever at the same time too!
For narrative as well I have a hunch one could port in an interactive engine, something like inkle's ink engine, to create tease content. I'm not really sure on this one as it's hard to find plugin references and it's all in c# which i'm not familiar with, but that little itch is going that it can be done. I saw someone mention before about porting playfulguy's script engine to straight javascript rather than using guideme, and I was like, could it be ported into a VAM scene with a plugin that could handle setting a metranome and calling triggers within the scene to adjust?
The most madman part of me is also wondering if teaseAI could be adjusted to interact with a vam scene and drive the character.
It's all just some speculation and a lot of work away, but the program's potential for what you can build in it is pretty exciting. Oh and as a last thing, there's a cool ass program called foto2vam that will take a few face pictures and spit out a vam character that looks pretty close to the picture, and it's like 80% good. You can put those characters in almost any scene so, think about that.
