A Cock Hero fan found my invite request through my Pornhub and reddit postings about the releases. Eternal invite thread definitely needs help. Looks like 1 invite is generated for every forum account once per month, to a maximum of 4 stored invites per account.

Oh, I didn't even realize invitations were necessary, back when I came here it was just open registration. I'll drop by every now and then and use up 3 of my invites then. I'll keep one, just in case I'd actually need it.

It was to reduce the bot spamming - which has largely been effective. But it does rely on people keeping up on the invites.

I've given out over 1000 invites so far, but me free time has dwindled a lot since then so I've not kept on top of it.

Maybe you can try some other kind of bot save captchas where you have to build something which a bot cannot do.
I have done something similar on a former website which worked well. It was a build in option of the forum template.

You had to drag and drop elements from place A to place B to validate that you are human.

I've given a few invites myself, but not 1000 I'd love to help more but I don't visit Reddit much because the trolls infuriates me to no end. Such a waste of time! Feel free to tell people that they can contact me directly on social medias in your Reddit POST-IT (or whatever it's called). I usually do not cut the PM features. I'm here often, obviously, but I'm not sure if people from outside can send me a PM or email... There's also twitter:

Registration form points to the subreddit. I suppose it could point to the Discord as well. Either way, the method itself works so long as interested people's invites outnumbers incoming requests. It's intended to be better and slower than a captcha in discouraging automated attempts. Some people will gladly solve captchas all day.

My one week wait for an invite could be taken as working as intended.
